The day after returning home from my mother's funeral, I went up to my room. My father and I hadn't spoken a word to each other since yesterday, and the truth is, I didn't want to talk to anyone.
I went into my room and lay down on my bed, crying until I fell asleep. I woke up to the sun's rays coming through my window, went to the bathroom to freshen up, and got dressed in comfortable clothes. I stayed in my bed all day. I had Chinese classes today, but I canceled everything I had planned. I didn't have the energy for anything.
I heard a knock on my door, asked who it was, and my nanny answered. I told her to come in. I saw her come in with a tray of food and put it on my bedside table.
"My child, I brought you some soup. You didn't eat anything at all yesterday, and you haven't had breakfast today either. You're going to get sick."
"I don't want anything, Nana. I'm not hungry."
"Come on, my child, have a little."
My nanny took the cup of soup and began to spoon-feed me.
"Nana, have you seen my father?" I asked.
"No, my child, yesterday, as soon as you went up to your room, he left and hasn't returned."

They realized that I was there and got up and walked over to the bottom of the stairs. I stood there motionless and a little confused.
"Dad, who are they?" I asked, bewildered.
"They are Luisa and Lisa, my wife and your half-sister."
I was shocked and very upset to hear my father talk about this like it was nothing.
"From now on, she will be the new lady of the house, and I want you to treat her as such, her and your sister. From today on, they will both live here, so I'm going to ask you to behave yourself and be nice to them."
"Are... are you crazy, Dad? You were unfaithful to my mother with this woman, and on top of that, you bring her to my mother's house just like that? What's wrong with you?" I replied in a loud and annoyed tone.
I've always had a very bad temper, and I don't let anyone walk all over me. Although I may seem innocent and a pushover, the truth is that I'm quite the opposite.
"How dare you speak to me like that, young lady? This is now my house, and I can bring whomever I want, do you understand? So if you don't want trouble with me, you'd better behave yourself."
"As far as I know, this house is not yours, it's mine. My mother left it to me, just like the company. Nothing here belongs to you, so get this woman out of this house right now. Respect my mother's memory."
My father was red with anger. He took long strides toward me and raised his hand to slap me, but luckily, I have good reflexes and dodged it before he could touch me, which only made him angrier.
