"Ryu..." Lio furrowed his brows in confusion as he looked at his nephew, who was the one hitting his back. "Fiancee?" he asked, glancing at Arneta to decipher what his nephew's words meant.

However, Arneta merely laughed and shook her head, which only deepened Lio's perplexity.

"Yes, Ivy is my fiancee," Ryu replied, hands on his hips. "Now put Ivy down! Uncle can't carry her!"

Lio, still baffled by his nephew's strange behavior, felt irritation rise within him because the second son of Boy Arbeto dared to forbid him from holding his beloved daughter.

"Boy, you're still a child. What do you know about fiancees?" Lio said coldly.

If Ryu weren’t his nephew, Lio would have twisted the boy's ear for daring to stop him from holding Ivy. And if Ryu weren’t Boy Arbeto's son, he would have tossed the boy into the crocodile pond for daring to claim his beautiful little daughter as a fiancee.

"Of course, I know, Uncle. When I grow up, I will protect and make Ivy happy by giving her lots of dolls and chocolate. Unlike you, who left and made Ivy sad," Ryu said confidently.

At least that's what he understood: a mature man would protect and make the woman he loved happy. Just like Daddy Boy did for Mom Tita.

"Hey! Watch your mouth, Boy!" Lio exclaimed, suppressing his irritation. His child, just like his father, was equally exasperating. "Just go away and stop bothering us!"

"Uncle forgot this mansion belongs to my Daddy, so it's you who should leave!" Ryu retorted, unafraid, as he had always been taught to be brave when he felt right. And he was right, this mansion belonged to his family, not Uncle Lio.
