Episode 6

Arneta, still shocked by what she saw, was rendered speechless. This was in stark contrast with the handsome and gallant man standing before her.

The man appeared motionless, his expression remained flat. He gazed at Arneta as if they were complete strangers, as if they had never met before.

"Neta, do you know our CEO?" asked Candra, confused by Arneta's surprised and almost stumbling expression.

"I-I..."

Arneta, just realizing the situation around her, became the center of attention for all the employees in the room. She tried to fight her fear of the man from her past and forced herself to smile politely.

"I don't know him. Oh, by the way, welcome, Sir—"

"Mr. Lio, his name is Mr. Lio Richard." Candra introduced the owner of the company and her close friend to Arneta.

Upon hearing the name of the man from her past being mentioned, Arneta's body became even weaker. Her legs even felt like jelly, almost causing her to fall if she hadn't managed to support her own weight due to the shock.

Arneta had hoped, for a brief moment, that the man standing before her was a different Lio. But after hearing his name, her hope immediately disappeared, replaced by the fear she had been feeling since earlier.

"Why are we brought together again, God, why?" Arneta protested silently, filled with disappointment.

How could she not be disappointed? After several years of not seeing each other, she was reunited with the person from her past. The man who had ruined her plans to win Bara's love, the man who indirectly caused Arneta to leave Paris. And most importantly, the man who had made her give birth to Ivy.
