Following the night they had agreed upon their plan, Lio kept his word and allowed Arneta time with Ivy. Arneta made the most of this opportunity, inviting her beloved daughter to sleep in the same room with her. Not only that, she took Ivy to amusement places she had longed to visit but had not managed to, due to her busy work schedule.
Throughout their time together, neither Lio nor Anna disrupted the precious moments between Arneta and Ivy. The couple understood that Arneta's time with her daughter was limited because their departure to Paris had been brought forward.
"Remember, darling, don't misbehave and never argue with what Daddy says!" said Arneta as she helped Sasha pack all of her daughter's clothes into a suitcase, for Ivy was set to leave for Paris with Lio and Anna the following evening.
Indeed, the nearly two weeks they had spent together were coming to an end the next night. Arneta felt she hadn't had enough time with Ivy, and for some reason, it felt increasingly difficult to part with her cherished daughter.
Ivy nodded. "But why won't Mommy come with us right now to Paris?" she asked sadly because she was to leave earlier with Dad Lio and Aunty Anna to meet her grandparents in Paris.
"There's so much work Mommy needs to do in Jakarta, dear," replied Arneta, telling a white lie.
A fabrication she and Lio had concocted by insisting she would follow them to Paris later, as a way to convince Ivy to leave first with Lio and Anna.
"But Mommy must promise to follow Ivy as soon as possible!" exclaimed Ivy, embracing her mother.
Arneta could only nod, holding back her tears while kissing her daughter's head tenderly.
"Ivy must also promise to be good and not create any trouble for Daddy, Aunty Anna, Grandma, and Grandpa there."
Ivy nodded again, her tears falling. "I'll miss you so much, Mom," she whispered, holding Mom Arneta tightly.
"Mom will miss you incredibly too," replied Arneta, crying.
