"Mommy is inside," Ivy answered with a bashful smile, causing Lio's grin to grow wider inadvertently as he reached out and caressed Arneta's daughter's tiny face.
"Why does she feel so familiar to me? And that face, why does her little face seem so known?" Lio mused to himself in confusion, while continuing to stroke Arneta's daughter's face.
"Ivy, let's go in and call for Mom Arneta, and you two can wait over there," Sasha pointed to the chairs beside the front door, pulling Ivy's arm and interrupting Lio's reverie.
Lio, who had been crouching, could only silently watch the back of the little girl named Ivy as she walked away.
"Sir, what's the matter?" asked Yogi, noticing his master's silence.
Lio shook his head as he stood up. "I just can't shake this feeling of familiarity with that little girl, her face closely resembles—"
"She bears a likeness to you, albeit in female form. Hm... on second thought, she looks even more like Miss Lea," Yogi interjected, catching Lio off guard.
"What are you talking about?" Lio snapped, unable to accept that Arneta's daughter could bear a resemblance to him, let alone his sister.
"I'm just speaking the truth, Sir. To an outsider, they might even mistake Arneta's daughter as your own. Especially since she has the same dimples as—"
"Let's go home!" Lio walked away from there, clearly agitated.
His irritation was palpable at the thought of a child born to a woman regarded as lowly as Arneta being said to look like him, or even his own child.
"But Sir, what about Miss Arneta?"
"I said, we're leaving!" Lio continued walking and got into the car.
Reluctantly, Yogi left the premises, even though the hostess hadn’t come out to meet them.
