"I'm sorry I can't," Arneta whispered, bowing her head.

Candra, who had previously shot Arneta, would not want to go to Paris with her, could only sigh. He knew well that Arneta would not want to set foot in Paris, because according to her, the city was filled with her dark past. But even so, Candra still asked, because honestly, he couldn't bear to leave Arneta alone in Jakarta. Especially since the person who would replace him had a cold and somewhat irritable nature.

Yes, even though the owner of the company where he worked was his good friend. But Candra still worried about Arneta's condition, considering that his good friend did not like children. Meanwhile, Ivy always accompanied Arneta to work at the place he provided, for the little girl whom Candra already considered as his own daughter.

"It's okay, Neta. I know you can't."

Arneta remained silent, with her fingers squeezing each other. If she could be honest, she felt a little afraid to work with someone new, after almost three years of being Candra's secretary. Arneta was afraid that the owner of the company was a bad man, and would treat her like a cheap woman, like what had happened to Arneta before she started working with Candra.

"Sir, is the owner of this company a man?" Arneta asked, volunteering herself.

Candra, who knew the fear Arneta was experiencing, smiled as he walked towards her.

"Don't worry, even though the owner of this company is a man. He is a married man and won't bother you, I guarantee that," he said while stroking Arneta's arm to calm her down. "Yes, even though he is a cold and somewhat irritable man. But actually he is a good person as long as you work well for him."

Arneta, who had initially been able to breathe a sigh of relief, was now afraid again upon hearing that the owner of the company was a cold and irritable man.

"If you're afraid, it's better to move and come with me, right Ron?" Candra said to his personal assistant who had been silent all this time.

"Yes, you should follow Mr. Candra," Ronald replied with a smile, but he was met with a shake of the head from Arneta.

Yes, that's Arneta. If she says no once, it can't be changed anymore. Especially if it relates to her past.

"Don't think about it, it's better for you to go back to work now because I have to go to Bali," Candra said while looking at the watch on his wrist.

Arneta returned to her office with a lot of questions about the person who would replace Candra as her superior. Like what is the man's name, and what kind of person is he who is said to be cold and somewhat irritable.

"How is it? Did Mr. Candra call you?" Nadine asked after seeing Arneta come out with her boss who had now entered the elevator, not knowing where they were going.

"He just told me that he's going to work in Paris," Arneta answered wearily.

"What? Mr. Candra is going to Paris?" Nadine asked in surprise, which was immediately silenced by Arneta's hand covering her mouth to prevent their conversation from being heard by other employees.

"Keep it down!" Arneta reminded Nadine, who responded with a nod of her head.

"So we'll have a new boss?" Nadine asked excitedly. Because she hoped that their new boss would be handsome like Candra, or if possible, even more handsome so that she would be motivated to work.

Arneta nodded. "Don't get your hopes up too much, because Mr. Candra said that our new boss already has a wife," she said, knowing what her good friend was thinking.
