Episode 11

The following day, Lorenzo went to the office to pick up a folder when Willy called to tell him about the bills that had been paid.

Lorenzo smiled: "Have they been informed?"

Willy: "Yes, they have. Don't worry. What will you do about the journalist?"

Lorenzo looked at his desk: "That's none of your business," and hung up the phone.

In the room, Mark was finishing putting on the clean shirt he had been given when he saw Lorenzo standing there, looking at him. "What do you think you're doing?"

Lorenzo looked at him, smiling. "I'm admiring the beauty of what belongs to me."

Mark glared at him. "Don't be ridiculous, Mr. Lorenzo. And my camera?"

Lorenzo then placed it on the table. "Here's your camera, but you can forget about what was on it."

Mark picked up the camera and stood close to Lorenzo, looking at it.

Lorenzo then looked at his face, smiling. "Your face is so delicate and beautiful."

Mark turned to look at him, their faces so close they could smell each other's scent. Embarrassed, Mark tried to move away, but Lorenzo held him by the waist, smiling. "Where are you going without giving me a good morning kiss first?" And he kissed him.

Mark responded to the kiss but soon pulled away, wiping his mouth. "You're disgusting."

Lorenzo laughed, looking at him. "But your lips are delicious. Come on, I'll take you to see your parents. But don't even think about trying anything funny, or your parents and sister will pay dearly for your mistake."

Mark looked at him, smiling. "Are you serious? I can go see them?"

Lorenzo looked at his face, seeing his sincere smile of happiness. "Yes, I'll take you to them. But this means you will only visit them because you still belong to me, until I decide otherwise."

Mark looked at him. "I already know that, don't worry. So can we go now, please?"

Lorenzo looked at him. "Let's go," and they left.

In the car, Mark looked out the window, feeling the wind on his face, his hand trailing outside.

Lorenzo watched him as he drove. "How long have you worked in journalism?"

Mark sat up straight, looking at him. "About five years. Before that, I studied and worked at the grocery store near my house to help my parents with the finances."

Lorenzo looked at him. "But don't your parents have a business?"

Mark looked ahead, fiddling with the dashboard doll. "Yes, they do, but it's not something that makes a lot of profit, so they need extra income. And I've always worked to help out at home."

Lorenzo looked at him. "Your family is lucky to have you. But remember, don't say where you are or who I am."

Mark looked at him. "As if my life depends on it. Aren't you tired of saying that? You're so annoying."

Lorenzo disguised a smile, parking the car. Mark quickly got out of the car and went to meet his parents, hugging them.

His mother looked at him, crying, "Why did you disappear like that, my love? You don't know how worried we were about you. And look at you, you're so thin, my beautiful boy."

The father saw Lorenzo standing there, watching. "Hi, you must be Mark's friend. Come in, don't just stand there."

Lorenzo approached them and greeted them with a smile. "Your son has told me so much about you both; it's like I've known you for a long time."

The mother looked at him. "You're very handsome. Why have you never brought him over before, son?"

Mark looked at Lorenzo, who was looking at him with a smile. "It's a long story, Mom."

The mother smiled and linked arms with them both, pulling them inside the house. "I'll get you something to eat."

While the mother prepared something, Lorenzo looked around the house and saw pictures of them as children, teenagers, and so on. "Your children look like they were very happy kids. What was Mark like as a child?"

The mother looked at him. "My little Mark was always a fragile child. Even though he looked strong on the outside, he was always sensitive and sweet, always helping everyone. And he never let anyone be wronged in front of him. My son has always been very responsible."

Lorenzo looked at her. "So your son never had time for romance?"

She looked at him and put the things on the table. "I think he did once, back in college. But I don't know exactly what happened. He came home one night very upset, but he didn't say anything. He's always been very private. But you're the first one he's brought home."

Mark came up to them and saw them talking. "What's going on? Why are you looking at me like that?"

The father patted him on the shoulder. "Let's sit down, son."

Mark sat down next to Lorenzo and they began to eat quietly.

The mother looked at them. "Are you two dating?"

Mark choked on his food, and Lorenzo quickly helped him, giving him water. "Mom, what kind of question is that?"

She looked at them, smiling. "What? You don't think we're blind, do you, son? And look, if you're happy, we're happy too. And you, young man, take good care of my baby."

Lorenzo smiled. "Don't worry about that, ma'am. I'll take care of him as if he were the most precious treasure in the world."

Mark glared at him. "Who told you to open your mouth and tell my parents something like that?"

Lorenzo looked at him and put a piece of cake in his mouth, smiling.

Mark looked at him and turned back to his food.

The father looked at them and smiled. "No fighting, children."

The hours passed, and Lorenzo was in Mark's room, looking around. "Your room is very cozy," he said, sitting down on the bed.

Mark looked at him. "What do you think you're doing? Why did you tell my parents we're together if it's not true?"

Lorenzo looked at him and pulled him down onto the bed, hovering over him, their faces close. "But you're mine now, that's why I told my in-laws."

Mark looked at him. "They're not your in-laws, you lunatic?"

Lorenzo looked at him, smiled, and kissed him. "But you are mine."

Mark pushed him aside. "You're a maniac."

Lorenzo smiled, looking at him. "Admit that you feel nothing for me. Can't you feel your heart beating so fast?"

Mark looked at him, looking at his face. "I'm not, and stop touching me without my permission."

Lorenzo ran a hand over his face. "I think you're very cute, playing hard to get. But for now, I'll be patient with you, Mama's boy," he said, getting up.

Mark looked at him from behind. "Where are you going now?"

Lorenzo looked at him. "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt my in-laws. Enjoy them a little longer. And don't even think about running away from me, or you already know what will happen to you."

Mark sat down on the bed. "Wait, where are you going?"

Lorenzo looked at him. "I need to work, just like you. But remember that you are mine now, and no one else's. I won't allow you to go back to your work. If you betray me, I'll forget about you. You're mine. And I'll finish off your family first, and then you."

Mark looked at him seriously. "You need psychological help."

Lorenzo headed for the door. "I'll leave a driver here for you. And don't even think about running away, my love," he said, and left.

Mark lay down on the bed. "That man is crazy," he said, smiling.
