Episode 7

The days went by and Sandro continued his mischief. He was checking the weapons he had gotten his hands on: “You already know what to do with them, and no mistakes this time.”

The man, still with his head down, said, “Sir, these are the defective weapons. That's why your brother ordered them to be destroyed.”

Sandro looked at him: “Are you trying to disobey my orders?”

The man looked at him, scared: “But Mr. Maximiliano ordered all these weapons to be destroyed. If we don't, we could get into trouble, Mr. Sandro.”

Sandro walked up to him furiously: “You shouldn't defy me,” and he grabbed the weapon to threaten him.

Lorenzo then arrived at that moment, applauding his brother: “Honestly, I was expecting that from you. That's why I provided this lovely show for you, my brother.”

Sandro turned around smiling, still with the gun in his hand: “So you prepared a show for me. What do you think you're doing with all of this, little brother?”

Lorenzo looked at him seriously: “Sometimes, I doubt we're actually brothers.”

Sandro started laughing like a madman: “You only have doubts. I am certain, because honestly, I hate you. My only wish is to see you dead, just like Dad is now. That way, the family would have a leader worthy of the name and not a monster like you.”

Lorenzo walked up to him: “This monster here is the head of the family, while you should take care of yourself. Otherwise, you might end up in a shallow grave. And about what just happened, that's your last warning. Don’t you ever betray me again or threaten my employees. Or else, not only will the one who helps you be killed, but your entire family as well. And the only one to blame will be you, my brother.”

Sandro put away his weapon, glaring at his brother: “Enjoy the power while you can, my brother,” and he left without looking back.

The man who was being threatened said: “Excuse me, sir?”

Lorenzo looked at him and sighed, putting his hands in his pockets: “You did well not to obey him. You can finish your work and reinforce our security.” He left for the car.

Sandro was leaving, spitting fire: “Who does he think he is to threaten me like that?”

The driver looked in the rearview mirror: “Mr. Sandro, I heard from one of the employees that Lorenzo is keeping a man locked in a guest room, and we still don't know who it is?”

Sandro looked insane: “A very interesting guest. Take me to the mansion immediately. I want to meet this precious person to my little brother.”

The driver then changed directions, heading for the mansion.

Mark's parents were worried about the lack of news from their son, who had not been home for days.

The mother kept calling his cell phone, which only went straight to voicemail. There was no return call. The father came over, bringing her tea: “Maybe he's on one of those jobs where he can't have his cell phone on. He usually says ‘target surveillance,’ things like that.”

The mother took her tea, still anxious, while her husband went to attend to the customers who were in the little shop.

Meanwhile, Anya went to her brother's work looking for news. She managed to talk to his boss, who in turn looked at her in a rather unpleasant way, making her uncomfortable: “I didn't know your brother had a sister as beautiful as you.”

Anya looked at him: “I'm not here to be cheaply hit on, sir. I'm here to get information about my brother Mark. Since you're his boss, you should know what he's working on, right?”

The man sighed deeply, leaning back in his chair: “I'm sorry, but I don't know anything either. He should have sent me some freelance photos, which he was going to get paid for outside of here, but so far, nothing.”

Anya looked at him: “Thank you for seeing me.” She left, slamming the door behind her.

The man sat there looking after her, smiling: “If I had known he had a sister like that, I would have gotten closer to him a little more,” he laughed to himself.

Anya had left the building and called her parents to tell them what had happened while she waited for the light to change so she could cross the street.

And when the light changed, everyone started to cross, but because someone bumped into her, her purse fell, spilling everything out. She started to pick everything up, and when she was done, she went to cross. The light changed at that moment, and one of the cars almost ran her over, making her fall back in fright, her hands over her face.

The owner of the car got out, straightening his suit, approached her, and bent down: “Are you alright, miss? You didn't get hurt, did you?”

Anya looked at him in surprise, seeing a handsome man in front of her with a kind smile: “I-I think I'm okay.” And when she tried to get up, she felt her knee hurt.

The man then held out his hand, helping her up and onto the sidewalk: “If you want, I can take you to the hospital, miss.”

Anya looked at him: “No need to worry, really. I'm fine. I need to go home. I left my parents alone at the store, and I promised to take care of them in my brother's absence.”

The man held her arm: “I could drop by and see your mother if you'd like, of course.”

Anya looked at him: “It's not necessary. Thank you. My brother always told me never to accept too much kindness. You never know what's behind it,” and she crossed the street, going to the bus stop and catching the bus.

The driver got out of the car: “Mr. Will, shall we go?”

Will looked at the bus: “Follow that bus immediately,” and they left.

At the mansion, Sandro entered, against the wishes of some of the security guards. He immediately went to the second floor of the mansion and saw the guards at the door: “Open up so I can come in.”

One man looked at the other and then opened the door, allowing Sandro to enter.

Sandro then entered, seeing Mark sitting with his head down: “So, you're my brother's precious guest. Tell me, what did you do to deserve all this luxury from my beloved brother?”

Mark looked at him: “What do you want? To threaten me too, like that liar?”

Sandro looked around with a smile on his face: “I'm not like my brother. Let's just say I don't agree with anything he does, including what he was doing to you just now.”

Mark smiled: “What are you trying to say now? That you're better than your brother? Please, don't make me laugh, Mr. Sandro.”

Sandro approached him with a kind smile on his face and held his shoulder: “I'm going to help you get out of here. I promise you, my brother can't do this to you.”

Lorenzo entered the room furious, pushed Mark into the corner, and turned furiously to his brother: “Who authorized your entry into my house and into this room? Who gave you the information?”

Sandro looked him straight in the face, smiling: “So that's it, is it? You keep him here for your own amusement, little brother. I never imagined you were a pervert. But he is quite handsome. Send him to me when you're done partying with him.” He left laughing, mocking him.

Lorenzo turned furiously to Mark: “What do you think you're doing? You're testing my patience, Mr. Mark,” and he grabbed him by the neck, squeezing tightly, leaving Mark almost breathless. He released him after he saw his face turning red.

Mark fell to the floor with his hand on his neck, coughing a little: “Just kill me now. Because if you don't, I will.”

Lorenzo bent down, bringing his face close with his fingertip: “Then do it. I don't care because you will never get out of here.” He left the room, leaving him there.
