Episode 8

Sandro was in his car with his hands on the steering wheel: "If my brother thinks he's going to win against me for long, he's very mistaken," he smiled as he drove away.

Lorenzo was at the window watching him leave: "And he ordered one of his men to keep an eye on his brother 24 hours a day and I also don't want him in this mansion without my permission. Did you understand me or will I need to replace my head of security?"

The man looked at him and then lowered his head: "Don't worry, your brother will be watched 24 hours a day as you wish and he will not enter the mansion again without your permission. I will withdraw now to provide what you have just asked of me," and he left.

Lorenzo sat down on the sofa to rest for a bit.

Meanwhile, Anya got off the bus and was walking home and was greeted by her father right at the entrance to the store: "Oh, my beautiful daughter, why the worried face? And your brother, weren't you able to get any news from him in the newspaper?"

Anya looked at her father and gave a sad smile: "Unfortunately not, Dad. His jerk boss doesn't know where he is or didn't want to tell me. I'm worried about his medicine, he must not be taking it. The full box is in his room."

The father hugged his daughter, kissing her forehead: "Your brother will be fine. Out of the three of us, he was always the most responsible one. Now come help your old man take these boxes back there."

Anya smiled and went to help him with the boxes.

Willy entered the store and stood looking at the shelves when the lady saw him: "My God, what a handsome young man. Do you happen to have a girlfriend or are you looking for one? Pretend you are, because look, I have a very beautiful, intelligent, and single daughter."

Willy looked at her smiling: "No, I'm not married yet and thank you for finding me handsome, ma'am."

Eia then continued smiling and showing the things she had in the store.

Anya then entered with her father and saw him standing next to her mother: "What the hell are you doing here?"

Willy looked at her: "I was worried about you after what happened, so I followed the bus here and I found your store very interesting, so I came in, and your mother really is a sweetheart."

Anya glared at him: "Who gave you the right to follow me? Are you a psychopath, is that why you came after me?"

Willy smiled, looking at her: "Look, if I were a psychopath, I don't think you'd ever know."

Anya looked at him: "You come with me. Mom, Dad, don't worry, I'll be right back," and she left, pulling him outside.

Outside, Willy stopped and looked at her: "What was that all about? Are you crazy by any chance?"

Anya looked him up and down: "Who are you really, and why did you follow me to my house? And don't give me that 'I was worried about you' crap. It was my brother who sent you, right? Did something happen to him? Do you know where he is? Answer me, man?"

Willy looked at her: "Wow, so many good questions together. I don't know your brother, and he didn't send me here. I really was worried about you, but it seems like you're worried about your brother, too."

Anya looked at him, sighing deeply: "My brother has been gone for days and hasn't given any news, and I can't reach his cell phone. And worst of all, he didn't take all his medicine, and if he doesn't take his medicine, he gets very sick. I just hope he bought more wherever he is and that he's okay because my brother is very important to my parents and to me, too. If anything happens to him, I don't know what will become of me," and she started to cry.

Willy handed her a tissue: "Well, if your brother is all that you just said he is, of course he's fine. Don't worry. But about the medicine your brother takes, what is it for anyway?"

Anya took a deep breath, looking at him: "For his heart. Mark was born with a heart problem that can't be operated on, only controlled with medication, and if he doesn't take it, it can cause severe chest pains and a reduced heart rate, and it can even lead to death. That's why I'm so distraught."

Willy held her arm: "Your brother will be fine. Don't worry about him. But it's best if you change your face. You'll end up making your parents worried, too, just like you are, right?"

Anya looked inside the store and saw her parents talking and laughing: "You're right. I need to take care of them like my brother asked me to. And thank you for listening to me. Well, let me go in, and don't worry, I won't even cross the street today, bye," and she entered the store.

Willy went to the car and thought about what Anya had said: "If what she said is true, that madman must be planning to kill himself. Oh, crap," and he told the driver to go to the mansion immediately.

Meanwhile, Sandro arrived home and immediately went to get something to drink and remembered Mark and laughed to himself as he sipped his drink.

The woman, still in her bikini, entered and saw him: "What brought that smirk to your face?"

Sandro looked at her, laughing: "Oh man, now I don't think you'll stand a chance with my stepbrother!"

Kara sat down on the bench, crossing her legs: "What happened? Did he find someone else? If he didn't, you don't have to worry, I know how to mark my territory, and he knows very well that there is no other like me, my love."

Sandro approached her, laughing, and gave her a quick kiss: "But I don't think my brother likes your fruit anymore, my dear. He seems to like a different flavor, and what a flavor, because even I was interested, and I looked at something I would never admit to in my life."

Kara held his face tight: "What are you talking about, you wretch? Who left my cat like this, and you too?"

Sandro moved away from her, still laughing: "A man, and what a man," he started laughing hard.

Kara, still shocked, looked at him: "This can only be a joke of yours. Lorenzo would never trade a wonderful woman like me for a fruit like him. But what's gotten into him and even you, Sandro?"

Sandro sat down, sipping his drink: "What's gotten into my brother, I don't know. But that man will be very useful to me, that I do know."

Kara stood still, looking furious.

Meanwhile, at the mansion, the guard came down with the tray of food he had taken to Mark, untouched again.

Lorenzo saw it: "He hasn't started eating again, is he at least drinking water?"

The guard shook his head: "He hasn't eaten anything I've brought him for three days, boss. If he continues like this, I don't know..."

Lorenzo was furious and took the tray and carried it to the room, and when he entered he found him sleeping and shook his head placing the tray on the table and went to the edge of the bed watching him sleep and saw tears streaming from the corners of his eyes:

"I don't want to hurt you, but I can't let you go around causing me more problems. Here I can keep you safe, out there, no. But what are you doing to me, you journalist?" And he lightly ran his hand over his face and then kissed his forehead, leaving the room, leaving him sleeping.

The guard closed the door: "Sir, I don't know, but he doesn't look well to me."

Lorenzo looked at the floor: "Just keep an eye on him and call me if anything happens. I left the food there in case he wants to eat, and bring him fruit in the morning," and went to his room.

The guards just looked at each other and didn't say anything.
