Episode 15

ANGELA: "I'm willing to wait for you. I know you didn't marry out of desire but because you were forced, and I don't hold it against you."

"How clever you are, Angela. If you hadn't thought ahead, your entire charade would've crumbled," she laughed silently in her thoughts.

"I love you and am ready to wait as long as it takes."

ALEJANDRO: "Yes, babe... I know," he said, giving her a kiss.

NARRATOR: Angela began to relax a bit after her conversation with Alejandro, because obviously, everything was a pretense. She was doing it so he would feel guilty and be easier to manipulate at her whim, always keeping her in his thoughts.

Alejandro prepared her some tea which she drank, and once she calmed down, they retired to their room where he made love to her all night, promising more moments like that. The next morning, Alejandro got up early and took a shower.

After his shower, he dressed and kissed his girlfriend (lover) goodbye, not wanting to wake her because he feared she might start crying like the night before. He left the apartment and went straight to the hotel where his wife now was.

NARRATED BY KIARA: I went into the bathroom and locked it, not out of fear but as a precaution, and of course not for him. Clearly, I wouldn't do it otherwise, but I feel more comfortable that way since no one has ever seen me without... anything. It would be too embarrassing if someone walked in by mistake.

When I came out of the bathroom, he was no longer there. I thought he might be on the terrace, but when I approached the dresser, there was a note.

Note: I'm heading out and will be back before you wake up, to go to the mansion, and don't you dare tell Grandfather I left. I'm off to see my girlfriend.

That's what his note said, as if I cared where he went or who he was with. Honestly, it's all the same to me as long as he doesn't bother me. In fact, it's better for me since I get this huge bed all to myself.

I lay down to sleep because I was extremely tired from the stressful day and needed a few good hours of napping. I was so exhausted that as soon as I hit the bed, I quickly fell into the arms of Morpheus.

I woke up early, before his return, so I could get ready. Once I was done, ALEJANDRO arrived, as always in a bad mood. Even being with his girlfriend hadn't improved his mood. I wonder how his girlfriend stomachs him.

ALEJANDRO: "Are you ready? We need to leave, oh, and there will be no honeymoon if you had that idea in your mind."

KIARA: "Of course not. Like you, I'm also aware that all this is a sham. I'm not happy about it either, but don't worry, I start university next month, and you won't see much of me."

ALEJANDRO: "Good, let's go. I can't stand being here any longer."

NARRATOR: KIARA and ALEJANDRO left the hotel and headed for the new house, which was more of a mansion, where they would live for the next two years. Little did they know that events would unfold, subtly shifting the dynamics between them without them even noticing.

Upon arriving at the beautiful mansion, Kiara looked around in awe but didn't let it show. To her, it would've been the perfect place if it were a home to share with the love of her life.

Alejandro and Kiara got out of the car and entered the mansion. Everything was elegant and beautiful, complete with a swimming pool and a gymnasium; it was all truly magnificent. While they were viewing the house, a woman named Matilde, who to be more exact was Alejandro's nanny, appeared. She had cared for him since he was a child, so he held her in deep affection and respect.

MATILDE: "Oh, my dear, you've arrived! I've been expecting you," she said with a smile.

ALEJANDRO: "Nanny, this is Kiara, my wife," he said with disdain. "Show her to her room. I'll go to my study; I have things to do, and then I'll head out. I won't be back early, so don't wait up for me," he told her, serious and curt.

MATILDE: "As you wish, sir. Come this way, dear," she said, looking at Kiara.

KIARA: "Yes, ma'am," she replied with a polite smile.
