The Love Park (Part 1)

Chapter 16

Sir Peter: Hi Bells.

What am I supposed to do now. I don't quite understand. He is scaring me at the same time making my heart beat faster. Of course I like him as my teacher but I have never thought of him in person. But after all he is my teacher, it would be rude not to reply to him. So I texted him.

Me: Hello sir. How are you?

It was seen in no time and I got a reply back.

Sir Peter: What are you doing?

Me: I was making my bed to sleep.

Sir Peter: You sleep alone?

Okay now, that's really weird. Is he flirting with me or what? Of course I sleep alone. Now what was I supposed to reply.

Me: Sir I am really dizzy. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Goodnight.

Sir Peter: Goodnight dear. Sleep well.

Dear?! Seriously! I mean if he were way older than me then of course I wouldn't mind, but he is just 5 6 years older than me. Well, maybe he is just happy to see me back. After all I was his favorite student. Apart from that, I had in my mind how John would look now. And soon his thoughts gave me a sound sleep.

I woke up the next day to find tons of messages of Good Morning from my teacher. I ignored them and then one of John said that he was back. I made myself and rushed downstairs. There he was. He was sitting right in front of me.

I couldn't help but stare. He had grown so beautiful and handsome. He smiled at me. And that's when my heart skipped a beat.His smile was one of happiness growing, much as a spring flower opens. I could see how it came from deep inside to light his eyes and spread into every part of him.

He stood up from the sofa and came to me. He greeted me and all this time, he was just smiling.

John's P.O.V

I was nervous. It was the first time that I was anxious if she would like me. I saw her tumbling down the staircase and then she stood frozen as she saw me. I got up and greeted her. I don't know whether I was smiling or not. I was just so happy to see her after a long time. I couldn't take my eyes down from her. She was looking gorgeous. Then I noticed Cassie's cheeks suddenly kissed pink like a spring rose, the blooming color so cute against her freckled skin. She looked away and I found her hand tucking her hair back in her ear. I hung back, allowing her time to compose herself, fighting back the smile that wanted to break out. She spoke out with a shaky and feeble voice.

"Hi John."

Aunt Rose came from behind and sat with us asking us both to have a chit chat. But seeing our pink faces, she just understood which neither she nor I did and left us alone again with a grin on her lips. Cassie sat next to me, still no eye contact. At last I gained the courage, and spoke.

"You didn't even tell me that you have come back. Shrewd as little." I chucked.

She smiled looking up at me at last and replied.

"I wanted to give you all a surprise. That's why I didn't tell you."

" I am so happy to see you." I just blurted out as my month was losing control all to my heart. "We should go out tonight like we used to. You remember?"

"Of course, I do. Our favorite place, The Love Park." She said shyly.

My heart twitched when I heard the word from her month. I just wanted her to be with me forever. We talked all day and she told me about things she went through. I also shared my job experiences and all that. Soon we got comfortable with each other. We were laughing like crazy and all like we used it. It was only with her and with no one else.

We were interrupted by a call on her phone. She looked at it and her expression changed somewhat seriously. She excused me and went for a while. I asked her what it was, she told me that it was her teacher, Peter Byers. He wanted her to go to the Love Park to hang out with him. It was really strange. As far as I know, he always looked at Cassie in a strange way but she was just too innocent to pick the smell of his gaze. She told me that she had given him an excuse for being busy tonight.

It was evening now. She was getting ready for the Love Park visit. It has been a long time since we went there. I was waiting outside for her in my car. Soon I saw her come out. I opened the car door for her and she sat in. The Park was at a distance of about 20 minutes, so there was plenty of time till he reached there.
