Meanwhile, Zhia was reaching out to her supervisor, Evan Joseph, to inform him of her desire to resign from the ongoing IT Program and to request an urgent return to country B.

Zhia could not remain silent after uncovering the truth about the twins' biological father.

"Hello, Mr. Evan!" greeted Zhia as soon as her call was answered by her boss.

"Yes, what is it, Zhia?" responded Evan, immediately inquiring about the reason for Zhia's call.

"Mr. Evan, I wish to resign from the program and return to country B as soon as possible," Zhia revealed her intentions without delay.

"What? Why, Zhi? What's the reason? Isn't everything going smoothly there? I even provided you with a larger house as you desired during your stay!" exclaimed Evan, evidently startled by Zhia's sudden decision to quit the program.

Previously, Zhia had insisted on handling it all by herself.

"Yes, everything is going smoothly here. However, I've encountered a personal issue that I cannot disclose to you, Mr. Evan!" Zhia spoke, her voice indicating a significant issue in her life.

"OK, I understand that. But you can't just abruptly do this," said Evan, his voice laden with pressure and frustration due to Zhia.

"Let's do this. Give me some time to find your replacement. Perhaps 4-5 days to arrange it. Can you hold on there until then?" Evan proposed a temporary solution, requesting that Zhia stay put for the time being.

Zhia fell quiet, contemplating her boss's request. On one hand, she wanted to leave immediately; on the other, she felt guilty towards her boss.

"Zhi, are you still there?" said Evan, bringing Zhia back from her reverie.

"Alright, Mr. Evan! I will stay here a few more days. Contact me when the replacement is on their way," Zhia conceded to her boss's request, to ease her sense of guilt.

Following that, Zhia ended the call.

In Rayden's office, Will appeared at the door with several files requested by his master.

"Sir, I've gotten the data!" said Will as he handed the documents to Rayden.

"Whose data? The hacker or the twins?" Rayden inquired as he began to examine the files one by one.

"It's the twins' data, the ones resembling you," Will responded, prompting a cold stare from Rayden.

"Luca Maverick and Lucia Maverick!" pronounced Rayden with furrowed brows, finding the names eerily familiar.

"Yes, Sir! Those are their names; they're only six years old," Will quickly confirmed.

"Prepare the car! Let's go to see them now!" Rayden ordered Will, still with a chilling expression.

"Of course, Sir!" replied Will, ever responsive.

Rayden got up from his seat and left the room, followed by Will and the guards. They immediately drove to the school where Luca and Lucia were currently enrolled.

Upon hearing of a major CEO's visit, the principal prepared an elaborate welcome. Rayden stepped out of his luxury car with poise as soon as Will opened the door.

"Welcome to our school, Mr. Xavier!" greeted the principal with a beaming smile.

"Hmmm, where are they?" Rayden asked directly about the whereabouts of Luca and Lucia.

"They are inside, Sir! Please follow me," the principal promptly led the way to where Luca and Lucia were waiting.

The female teachers were instantly charmed by Rayden's looks as they saw him, whispering among themselves, with even Will not escaping their comments.

"Please, Sir! They're within," the principal said, inviting Rayden to enter.

"Will, come with me. The rest of you, stay on guard here!" Rayden commanded his guards.

"Yes, Sir!" replied Will and the other guards in unison.

"Please, Sir!"

Will opened the door for his master, and Rayden entered along with Will following behind.

Upon entering, Rayden and Will were astonished. They could scarcely believe how much Luca and Lucia resembled Rayden as a child.

Luca and Lucia appeared indifferent, scrutinizing Rayden with intense gazes as if sizing up their father from head to toe.

"Who are they, really? Why do they look so much like me? Could they actually be my children? And who is their mother? Why hasn't she sought me out to hold me accountable?" A slew of questions flooded Rayden's mind.

"Wow, my lord is truly incredible! Only just decided to marry, and now he has children this grown, and twins at that," Will mused, amazed at seeing Luca and Lucia.

"Brother, mom lied! Look, he's so handsome and cool," Lucia blurted, breaking the awkward silence.

"Luci, be quiet!" Luca whispered to his sister, urging her to refrain from speaking out of turn.

"Sir, look! Your daughter is praising your looks right now!" Will blurted out, inadvertently acknowledging Lucia as his master's child.

"Will, be silent, or I'll throw you out that window!" Rayden hissed, delivering a lethal glare capable of silencing Will instantly.

Will clamped shut immediately.

"Hey, do you both recognize me?" Rayden asked, maintaining his frigid demeanor.

"Do you recognize us?" instead of replying, Luca countered with a question, mimicking the same cold expression presented by Rayden.

"No!" Rayden unexpectedly answered bluntly, inciting Will to almost laugh. The swift glare from Rayden kept Will from doing so.

"So, why do you want to meet us?"

Lucia, fortunately, diverted Rayden's attention with her inquiry.

"Didn't you see the news this morning?" Instead of giving an answer, Rayden fired back with his question.

Luca and Lucia shook their heads with innocent, adorable expressions.

"I'm here because you both bear a striking resemblance to myself as a child. Many claim you are my biological children. Now tell me, who is your real father?" Rayden demanded somewhat forcefully.
