"OH, come on! Just confess already." Kendrah is getting sick of tired with this kind of tv drama she's watching. Not that she don't like the hard to get character. It's just that she really find it ideal if the main guy is the honest one and not a troublemaker.

She changed the channel and keep on pressing the remote control until she stopped. The scene was about a woman who are not satisfied with her chosen life because she found out that the partner she marry was a not a guy she imagined. In short, it's opposite. More on violence, demanding, not a romantic and many other reasons that made up her mind to runaway and find her old self again.

Kendrah ended up sighing---a heavy sigh while thinking.

"If I were her, maybe I will... no, it's not gonna happen."

She shook her head. It's really bothering so she decided to turn off the tv. And the moment she stood up is the exact time when her husband Paulo entered the house. Wearing a construction's uniform. She can't describe how dusty this guy all over. The sweats smell is made her sneeze but instead of commenting something she runs to the kitchen and get one glass of water.

"Here!"

"What did you do all day?"

Paulo asking the same thing ever since they got married and she simply replied,

"The usual," and looked away. She's free every Sunday and watching tv is included for killing time after doing household chores.

And just that. End of conversation. Paulo went to the bathroom while she started to prepare dinner. She go with the chicken ball she marinated a while ago. Easy to cook. Easy to fry.

Their house is an apartment type with two bedrooms. It's a wedding gift from her mother in law working abroad. Small but enough for the two workaholic people. She is a salesclerk on one of the biggest market mall in the town. Her husband is full time construction manager. They are married for about five months and yes the awkward moments still there. Because after the exhausting day of their wedding, they don't have much time for honeymoon. The most awaiting scene for the newly weds is not even happening. Yeah. Yeah. Just go to bed and sleep next to each other. Just like that. And then, go back to work the next day.

"Are you done?" Paulo just finished. Fresh from the shower. The strong smell of a lemon fresh mixing with the food she's cooking.

She gulped. "Twenty five minutes," and she pressed down the rice cooker button to cook. "The chicken ball is about to finish... if you're hungry I can steam a leftover rice for you," she suggested. Her attention is now on the last batch of the chicken ball. She started to place it on the bowl with tissue paper.

"No, I can wait."

Just like she said. After twenty five minutes they are both at the dining table. Eating. No talking. This is their every day life. Paulo is just go to bed right after that while she have to finish all of the task. When she's done, she can freely stepped in to their bedroom. Lie next to her snoring husband.

It's okay, Kendrah. You're exhausted too, right? Just be with him is enough.

And that thought made her yawn. She sleeps soundly that night.

The next morning is another day. Prepare breakfast for two. Fried rice and scrambled egg. Then, afterwards they both bid a goodbye. Paulo is to the left side where the construction area is ongoing and Kendrah go straight to the mall--- ten minutes far from the house she lives in.

"Hey, Kendrah! You're always early, huh," her co-worker Ysabelle grinning from ear to ear. This girl is one of her bridesmaid five months ago and her highschool classmates too.

"You know me. I love my job so much." Yes. Kendrah had it before she got married and she can't see herself quit.

"And how about you and Pau? Any progress?"

She just smiled. Nothing to tell about. Yes, it's true. There's no news at all. Even a kiss. With the thought she pouted and luckily Ysabelle didn't notice because this girl is busy texting.

"Are you two going in?" the security guard asked.

She tapped the shoulder of her friend Ysabelle.

"Hey, Ysa! It's working time."

And with that, they are both entered. They stopped a little while to the lockers beside the lady guard, to leave their belongings there. Then, walked in to their assigned counter.

Wait for the shoppers to come by.
