The pretender~

As Sabrina ran she quickly noticed the change in the air- not a physical change but an inner change. she felt a terrible feeling in her gut as she ran closer to her goal. she stopped as she saw it- men with the same axe Mark's buried in their faces. her eyes widened as she took a sharp breath only barely managing to activate battle focus for a split second. she was able to dodge the axe as it was thrown at her- it hit a tree behind her with a loud thud. sabrina looked at the axe with anger in her expression then back at the one who threw it

"you-" "I'll never forgive you for this!" she yelled as she rushed at the figure. they dodged.

Sabrina's eyes widened as her opponent pushed a button hidden by their sleeve- something she didnt notice before about the axe they had previously thrown at her... there was a chain! a chain that connected the axe back to the user- when they pushed the button the chain yanked the axe that was lodged deep in the tree towards them- on it's way back it headed straight towards sabrina, she barely managed to dodge as the figure caught the axe with their hand and swung it around swiflty- making the chain attached crack like a whip.

"sabrina last time we met I was held back by my lack of range- now with this chain... I'm always close enough to tear you to shreds!" the figure yelled.

"damn it- I cant rely on battle focus anymore- I cant focus on more then one thing at a time with it- that's why tom told me to only use it In hand to hand combat- I'm such an idiot for not listening to him-" sabrina thought to herself

"I believe you called it battle focus right? it dosent matter how much stronger it can make you- I've clearly got you by the balls!" the figure yelled

the figure kicked sabrina into a tree she hit her side with a loud thud and fell to the ground- she quickly rolled out of the way as they swung their axe downwards to try and finish her off

"come on now sabrina, you who Defeated Ricardo, the mighty sabrina who was able to take him down with a single knife can now do nothing but dodge little ole me? PATHETIC!" the figure yelled as Sabrina stopped to stabilize her breathing. she took a breath in then out as the steam exited her mouth. "really? your using it again? you really think you can rely on that useless technique of yours?!" the figure said as sabrina got ready "I told you it wont work!" they yelled as they rushed towards sabrina. she opened her eyes and dodged the axe easily as she got ready to counter-

Sabrina got ready to counter- The figure swung their axe at sabrina but she quickly spun to the side to dodge it- she spun again and elbowed the figure in the stomach before kicking them into a tree. She rushed them and sabrina shouted "ORAA!" as she punched them in the face so hard that their hockey mask cracked, half of it broke off and they quickly covered the half of their face that was showing with their free hand. Sabrina smirked… “so, my suspicions were correct.” Sabrina continued “you can drop the act, I already know who you are, Jason or should I say… Sydney” Sabrina finished.

“I guess I shouldn't be surprised… you did kill Ricci after all, of course you'd be deadly and perceptive.” Sydney said as she smirked, “however… you shouldn't have done that… I cant just let you leave here now that you know” Sydney finished as she threw her axe yet again at Sabrina, she of course dodged it and rushed Sydney but before she could throw a punch “you dumbass! Did you already forget?!”

Sydney yelled as she pushed the button again causing the axe to come back to her, this time Sabrina had no time to dodge, she turned around and covered her face causing the axe to slice her forearm. Sydney grabbed the axe and smirked “you should've kept your little mouth shut….” Sydney said as she rushed at Sabrina, ready to chop her neck in half, “d-damn it” Sabrina thought to herself “this is gonna hurt like hell” she said as she used her already injured arm to grab the axe before it hit her, as the axe ripped into her hand she flinched before wrapping what was left of her hand around it then yanking it towards her causing sydney to fly forward “by the way sydney, this is my resolve… resolve doesn't mean sacrifice… it means having what it takes to get the job done no matter the cost!”

she said as she yelled "OORRRAAA!!" and used her good hand to punch Sydney's jaw as hard as she could, Sabrina's adrenaline was pumping so hard the skin on her knuckles was bloody from the punch. Sydney went flying into the tree. Sabrina was breathing heavily as blood rushed from her arm and knuckles. Luckily she used the sides of her forearm to catch the axe so nothing important was sliced and the axe seemed dull and weaker from their last encounter and Sydney's constant tendency to throw it.

Sabrina ripped her sleeve and wrapped it tightly around her forearm to stop the bleeding. Sydney slowly got up and kicked Sabrina into a tree. She slowly stood up “d-damn after i built up the resolve to catch the axe… I still lost… not the outcome I wanted” Sabrina said as she smirked, Jason felt a sense of defeat, sure she had Sabrina on the ground but her attacks didn't seem to do anything to her, even her axe seemed useless. Sydney picked up her axe and knocked Sabrina out with the blunt end of it.

A Few Hours Later

Sabrina woke up in some kind of house, she was completely tied up and it seemed like no one was home. She took a look around as her eyes started to adjust. She jerked around a bit attempting to get to her feet then realized she was in restraints and could barely move a muscle. "Shit…" She said to herself as she let out a huff in defeat.

"Where the hell am I?" She asked aloud as she continued to look around trying to figure out what was going on. The lights came on shortly after. Sabrina's eyes widened as she saw Sydney looking right at her. She was sitting directly across from Sabrina. She rested her elbow on her thigh for support and let out a loud yawn as she eyed down Sabrina. "I was wondering when you were gonna wake up…did you sleep well?" She asked as she got up out of her seat and started to walk around the room. "It was really boring without you contesting me…there's just nothing interesting about watching you sleep." She said as she started to walk up to Sabrina. Sabrina's heart started racing as Sydney got closer and closer to her. "I was never too fond of that dumb, little club…peace and unison just isn't what I stand for." 

After a few hours of complete radio silence from all 3 spirit teams

Jin was in his room looking worried as one of his men spoke to him “sir all the members of the 3 spirit teams were either killed or are missing, Sabrina and Sydney are nowhere to be found…” He finished as he looked down “they all had the exact same axe marks didn't they… Damn it!” Jin yelled as he slammed his fist on the table. “Sir should we send the recovery units or-” he was cutoff “no.. I'll go myself… it'll be me and yoko” Jin said as he walked out of the room with a livid expression.

Jin and Yoko began heading towards Jason's territory, looking for Sabrina and sydney. Before they could get there Jin noticed a noise from the distance and pulled out his pistols, ready to kill whoever or whatever made that sound, as the footsteps got louder Jins eyes locked on to the direction they came from and was about to fire when “oh” Jin put his weapons down “it's just you” Jin finished “wait where's Sabrina?” Yoko asked, Sydney slowly approached them with a distressed look in her face “Jin, and miss Yoko! Oh thank heavens your here!” Sydney said, “it was terrible! Jason he- he took all of my men and kidnapped me and Sabrina!, I barely managed to escape with my life!” Sydney said as she pointed back with her thumb “c’mon I'll show you where”.

After a while of walking Sydney stopped “it's best if we try to split up and attack from both ends” Sydney explained “what? Why?” Jin said “the last time I attacked head on I lost my men and Sabrina, I don't want to lose you guys too” Sydney explained “Ill stick with Jin and miss Yoko should go around and attack from the opposite side, it'll be a pincer attack and a rescue operation” Sydney stated “no its too risky having yoko go alone she could get-” Jin was cut off “no shes right Jin, its best if we do it this way, besides if I can distract Jason then you guys can run in and save Sabrina!” Yoko said with the enthusiasm of a child.

Jin weighed his options and nodded “yeah I see your point” Jin stated as Yoko started going around to the other side.

5 minutes later

Sydney was right behind Jin, She had her Axe hidden and was slowly starting to pull it out. As she continued to trail behind Jin she pulled her axe out more and more before going for a strike, she swung her axe at a sideways angle but before she could land the hit, Jin pushed his forearm into Sydneys, stopping her axe dead in its tracks “what the hell are you doing?” Jin said with a pissed tone before looking at the axe and turning back to sydney

“t-that axe…. Where did you get that axe?!” Jin yelled as Sydney jumped back and threw her axe, it missed Jin and hit the tree behind him, Jin pulled out one of his pistols and aimed it at Sydney, “so.. to think the one person i've been trying to kill was right in front of me this whole time,” Jin continued “you… must be Jason” Jin finished as he pulled out his radio and was about to message yoko but before he could Sydney pushed the button again and the chain pulled the axe back to her, on its way back it sliced Jins wrist on the side, causing him to drop his radio.

Sydney rushed at Jin ready to slice him in half but before she could, Jin jumped back and put his hand to the ground then lunged at Sydney, Instead of trying to dodge the axe Jin was rushing straight towards sydney, he got too close for sydney's axe swing to matter and he kicked her in the chest “if you think i only specialize in bullets you're dead wrong!” “I don't need bullets to kick your ***!” Jin yelled as he rushed Jason once more but before he could she pulled on the chain she had left on the ground, causing Jin to trip.

Jason took this opening to slash at Jin with her axe but Jin grabbed the chain and wrapped it around the axes heel and rushed behind Sydney before pulling, causing the chain to be cut and  her to drop the axe. Sydney turned to face Jin, but before she could say anything Jin was already right in front of her, she put up her guard as Jin kicked her in the stomach before grabbing her arm and throwing her over his shoulder.

She landed next to where her axe did and she threw it but Jin just slightly tilted his head to the side and dodged it completely. Sydney began smirking and chuckling, “what the hell is so funny to you?” Jin asked pissed off “tch,” Sydney pushed the button and the axe began flying back towards her “you cut the wrong chain asshole!” Sydney yelled as the Axe sliced Jin across the back, Jin winced in pain before pulling out his pistol again ready to blow Sydney's brains out, Sydney caught her axe mid air right as Jin pulled the trigger she slashed downwards cutting his arm almost chopping it off completely, the gun still fired but completely missed. Sydney kicked Jin to the ground causing her axe to be yanked out of Jin's arm, she looked down at him and this time completely chopped off his arm causing him to scream in pain.

  1 minute earlier

Yoko was running in the forest trying to get to the opposite side from Jin and Sydney when she heard a gunshot from the direction they were in “huh? Don't tell me they ran into Jason… Jin wouldn't just waste a bullet like that” Yoko thought to herself and she ran back towards the sound
