who the hell are you?

As Sydney's glare pierced Sabrina's heart- she could feel the overwhelming murderous intent behind it- Sabrina lost her train of thought as Yoko run up to Sydney like a child at an amusement park "this is Sydney! she'll be your new commander- isnt she so cool?!" Yoko shouted with excitement.

when yoko got close to her, Sydney's murderous stare turned into a neutral smile- her expressions were almost warm when Yoko was close to her.

Sabrina slowly got closer to Sydney as she reached her hand out for Sydney to shake it "hi- my name is Sabrina" Sabrina said as friendly as she could, she looked at sydney and her expression didnt change she didnt even acknowledge Sabrina's greeting. "tch! arrogant ****! dosnet she understand I dont do that often?! shes lucky I didnt knock her dumbass out for looking at me like that- I've almost killed for less~" Sabrina thought to herself as she tried to hide her distaste for Sydney.

"hey I know! it'll be easier for Sydney to give orders with you in mind if she knows your skill set!" Yoko said "hmmmm what kind of activity would help with that tho?...." Yoko tried thinking of something they could do "hey how about combat? if I spar with her it'll be easier for me to understand her fighting style" Sydney suggested

"ah! you're a genius! of course thisll be awesome!" "ok don't hold back either of you! sabrina may not look very buff but she Defeated Ricardo and even survived an encounter with Jason!" Yoko said.

when yoko said Jason Sydney's head did a small but noticeable twitch.

alright! 3!.... 2!..... 1!...... BEGIN!" Yoko yelled as sabrina entered a battle stance, Sydney didnt she just stood there.

"d-damnit she isnt even going to assume a battle stance?! how the hell am I supposed to tell how to be her now?!" Sabrina was yelling in her head about how stupid and unfair this was

"YA KNOW WHAT SCREW IT! if she wont make the first move, I WILL!" Sabrina thought to herself.

Sabrina made sure to waste no time. She rushed at Sydney making her intent obvious, she wanted to end this bout as quick as possible. She lunged forward and went for a straight  punch, Sydney stepped to the side dodging the move with ease. She felt a gust of wind blow by her face as Sabrina retracted her fist. The force of her blows were now apparent to her and she couldn't make any slip ups or else it'd be game over. Sydney turned her attention to Sabrina's lower body and went for a quick sweep to the legs. Sabrina let her guard down for just a moment and landed right on her backside hitting the ground with a loud thud. Sydney cocked her fist back and went for a punch of her own trying to mount some more offense. Sabrina rolled over on her side quickly dodging the punch. Sabrina grabbed hold onto her arm and pulled her up off the ground, she kept a tight grip on her and started going for some kicks to her legs trying to weaken her early on. Sydney tried to pull away with no such luck, she did a quick spin and set her foot on Sabrina's as she leaned in and elbowed her right in the jaw. She ate the blow and released her grip as it hurt her just a bit. Sydney smirked as Sabrina rubbed her jaw, she charged at Sydney, she seemed even faster than before. Sabrina kept her eyes on her face and seemed lost as she tried to figure out where she had seen it before. While she was distracted, Sydney kneed her right in the midsection and sunk her elbow into Sabrina's spine. She screamed in agony as each of Sydney's hits were stronger and harder than the last. Sydney scoffed quietly and kicked Sabrina back onto the ground. She towered over as she looked down and spoke in a menacing tone. "I thought you had the skills it took to match up to me- how come you aren't showing me them?" She tilted her head to the side as she was sorta mocking her. Sabrina growled and got right up, she tackled Sydney, but Sydney dug her feet into the ground and pushed back against sabrina. It seemed like she was just about as fast as her. She got two hits in striking Sydney in the face twice leaving some damage. Sydney pushed Sabrina back and tried to make some distance between herself and her opponent.  At this point Sydney got tired of playing around and decided to show off how formidable she was.

Sabrina noticed a sudden change in Sydney's eyes, they were darker almost like- before she could think about it sydney was already right in front of her, sabrina went for a punch but sydney spun about it and elbowed sabrina in the jaw and turned and kicked Sabrina in the stomach before grabbing her by the arm and throwing her over her shoulder and flat on her back, Sydney was about to finish Sabrina off with a final punch when "Ok you two that's enough!" Yoko said but Sydney didn't care she was about to throw her punch but before she could Yoko pulled out her staff and wacked sydney in the gut with it, as sydney was pushed back by the heavy blow, yoko tripped her with her staff and she fell right on her back, she then pointed her staff in Sydney's face "I said that's enough, it's mean to ignore people when their talking to you…" , "wh-when did you-" Before Sydney could finish "but other then that you were amazing! You both were!" Yoko said in a happy tone.

A Few hours later

"Alright people we were given orders to head to the old abandoned village to grab some medical supplies, one of our newer member has a few pretty severe injuries and we could use the extra supplies, we have orders from Curiosity to randevu with perseverance, unless told otherwise we will not change Sojourner unless necessary, Sabrina you're with me" Sydney said as she began leading spirit which consisted of 3 teams 3 people in each. 

As Sabrina and sydney began walking with one other person they began to approach the abandoned village "remember this place isnt in curiosity's territory so watch your 6s" Sydney ordered "if you find yourself in danger switch Sojourner and radio me" Sydney added as sabrina was walking she kept wondering what Sydney meant by 'Sojourner',

she remembers Jin mentioned it once but never clarified what it was "Sydney if I may, what does Sojourner mean?" Sabrina asked "what? Seriously? Jin didn't tell you? Ok so Curiosity has 2 other units thats us, spirit and then perseverance but there's also Sojourner, it has no members but that's the point, if you or your entire squad are ordered by either a higher up or Curiosity themselves to switch Sojourner that means stay put and wait for extraction, once you either request to switch or are ordered to then you must give your coordinates and wait." Sydney finished as they stopped right outside the abandoned village and immediately spotted the hospital

"you two… remain Sojourner and wait for extraction, I'm going in alone" Sydney said "w-what do you mean? This isnt safe territory right? What if Jason shows up and-" Sabrina paused. She noticed that when she said Jason, Sydney's head did a small but noticeable twitch "just listen to your commander dumbass" Sydney said as she entered the town and began making her way towards the hospital. 

A few minutes passed with radio silence

"Spirit 2 do you copy?" Said a soldier in the 3rd group "spirit 3, this is spirit 2 I read you loud and clear what's your status" answered a soldier from the 2nd group "I've lost contact with two of my men in the forest surrounding the town I believe there's a hostile nearby" answered Spirit 3

"Do you have a visual?" Spirit 2 replied "negative spirit 2 all I can see is forest for miles, i don't even know where my men ar-" Spirit 3 paused "s-spirit 3? Spirit 3!" Spirit 2 yelled into their radio. 

"I don't even know where my men ar-" Spirit 3 paused as he looked in horror, both of his men lying dead on the forest floor with what looks like axe wounds around their face. "S-spirit 2… my men are dead, their just fuckin dead!" Spirit 3 yelled as tears began flowing down his cheek "spirit 3 just calm down! Switch Sojourner and I'll randevu with you in 2 Mikes tell me your coordinates!" Spirit 2 paused as all he heard was static "S-spirit 3?" Spirit 2 began running towards spirit 3s last known location.

All he saw was blood shed, a useless waste of human life, men with axe Marks buried in their faces. Before Spirit 2 could radio for reinforcements an axe burst right through the back of his head killing him instantly.

Sabrina had her radio on and was listening in on the commotion "axe marks- he said axe marks!" Sabrina said as she began running towards their coordinates "w-wait sabrina!" Said one of the other soldiers in her group "we should wait for Sydney before attempting anything!" The soldier shouted. Sabira ignored him and kept running until she found the gruesome scene. Before she could do anything an axe came flying at her and she barely dodged it as it hit the tree behind her. "Damn… was hoping to finish you off fast" said a familiar voice "you…. How could you!" Sabrina yelled as she charged at the source of the voice.
