A few days passed in uneasy silence. The tension in the mansion had not lessened, and Evan remained a constant shadow in Elisyan’s life. He was always near but never truly close, his presence a wall of ice she could not break through.

Then, the day came when an unwanted guest arrived.

Elisyan sat in the grand meeting room of the Chris Corporation headquarters, flipping through reports, her mind half-distracted. Kian was safe at home under heavy security, and Evan had been acting distant more so than usual. Something was brewing, but she couldn’t place her finger on it.

Leo vin [Assistant]

Madam, there's someone here to see you.

Elysian Chris [FEMALE LEAD]

(Elisyan looked up) Who?

Before Leo could answer, the doors swung open, and a tall man stepped in. He was dressed in a sharp black suit, his features smooth but predatory, his lips curled into a smirk that sent an instant wave of irritation through her.

Rafael Morozov

Elisyan Chris, It's been far too long.

Elysian Chris [FEMALE LEAD]

(Leans back in her chair, crossing her legs)

Elysian Chris [FEMALE LEAD]

Rafael, What do you want?

Rafael Morozov

(Steps closer)

Rafael Morozov

I came to discuss an opportunity, of course!! Join forces with me, and I'll ensure Chris Corporation thrives.

Elysian Chris [FEMALE LEAD]

(Raises an eyebrow) And what makes you think I'd consider such a proposal?

Rafael Morozov

(Leans down slightly)

Rafael Morozov

Refuse, and... well, I'm afraid your position is far from secure.

Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]

(A deep voice cut in)

Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]

She's not interested.

Both Elisyan and Rafael turned to see Evan standing in the doorway, his figure imposing, his masked face unreadable.

Rafael Morozov

(turns to Evan, amused) And who might you be?

Rafael Morozov

(He assessed Evan with clear amusement)

Rafael Morozov

Her assistant? Or perhaps... something more?

Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]

(steps forward, his voice low and menacing)

Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]

That's none of your concern. What is my concern, however, is you overstepping your boundaries.

Rafael Morozov

(chuckles) Oh? And what will you do about it?

Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]

(Takes another step forward) Try me, and you'll find out.

Elysian Chris [FEMALE LEAD]

(watching the interaction with careful eyes, smirked slightly. Evan’s protectiveness, his sharp edge it was almost amusing)

Rafael Morozov

(Sighed dramatically, shaking his head)

Rafael Morozov

Such hostility. I merely came to offer a proposal.

Rafael Morozov

(He turned back to Elisyan)

Rafael Morozov

I’ll give you time to think it over. But don’t take too long. The wolves are already circling.

Rafael Morozov

(Exits the room, leaving a foul taste in the air)

Elysian Chris [FEMALE LEAD]

(Smirks) Well, that was entertaining.

Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]

(Turns to her, his expression unreadable)

Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]

He's dangerous. You shouldn't underestimate him.

Elysian Chris [FEMALE LEAD]

(Raises an eyebrow)

Elysian Chris [FEMALE LEAD]

Oh, I don't. But tell me, Evan are you concerned about me as my 'assistant' or something else?

He said nothing, his mask hiding any trace of emotion. But she could feel it the possessiveness, the anger simmering just beneath his icy exterior.

(And for the first time in a while, Elisyan felt excitement spark in her veins)
