Episode 11
Evan stood in the shadows of the dimly lit hallway, his gaze locked onto the reunion unfolding before him. The sight of kian smiling so brightly, holding onto Elisyan, barely registered in his mind. His focus was elsewhere—on *her*. Elisyan. The woman he had once called his wife. The woman he now suspected of being a traitor.
Elysian Chris [FEMALE LEAD]
(laughs with liam, unaware of Evan's presence)
His fingers curled into fists at his sides as he observed the easy familiarity between her and Liam Carter. The way she looked at Liam, the way they shared an understanding it was infuriating. But more than that, it was suspicious.
Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]
(Clenches his fists, suspicion burning within him)
Three years. Three years of exile, living in the shadows, clawing his way back to uncover the truth. Someone had betrayed him, someone had wanted him dead, and Elisyan was at the center of it all. Was she an accomplice? Or had she orchestrated it entirely?
Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]
(receives a call, steps away from the hall)
Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]
Speak...
[Unknown Voice]: We've secured the perimeter. No unusual activity. But there have been whispers. Someone's moving in the dark.
Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]
(Evan exhaled slowly, his mind calculating)
Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]
Keep an eye on them. Report any movement. We don't make a move until I say so.
[Unknown Voice]: Understood. And... what about her?
(The voice hesitated) Do you really think she--??
Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]
I don't trust anyone. Elisyan is my primary suspect. Until I find out the truth, she stays under my watch.
Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]
Closer than ever.
There was silence on the other end before the voice finally responded.
[Unknown Voice]: Understood, sir.
Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]
(Ends the call, eyes narrowing as he gazes back toward the corridor)
Evan/Ethan[ASSISTANT]
Time to get closer to the truth... and Elisyan.
Evan ended the call and slipped the phone back into his pocket. His gaze drifted once more toward the corridor where Elisyan and kian had disappeared.
He wasn’t here for fatherly duties. He had no attachment to the boy. His only purpose was to uncover who had tried to take everything from him.
And if Elisyan was the enemy... he would make her pay.
