Why did you guys not come home last night?
Mrs. Jung asks as she stares down at her two sons, who were busy eating.
Mrs. Jung
I was worried sick.
Taehyung
I... stayed at a friend's house.
He says, timidly before he takes another bite of his sandwich.
Jimin tells and their dad eyes them weirdly. He could tell they were lying but he decides not to press.
Mr. Jung
Let's not let that happen again, I want all of you home every night.
Mr. Jung
At least until you're 18.
Hoseok
Good, Can I throw my party then?
Hoseok asks, as he walks into the living room. dressed in his finest attire.
Mr. Jung
We'll talk about that some other time.
Mr. Jung
Now, Taehyung and Jimin, Dari has something to say.
Their faces widen, in shock. They did not expect that at all.
He asks, happily. A smile on his face.
Dari
Well, I haven't asked him yet but I think he will say yes.
Hoseok's lips twitch at that as he played with his own sandwich. He was not in the mood to eat.
Jimin
That's great. I'm happy for you.
Taehyung sends her a smile which she returns, happily then she turns her attention to Mr. Jung.
Mr. Jung
Dari and I will journey to the Min's household and we will ask for Yoongi to marry her, respectfully.
Taehyung and Jimin look at each other at the mention of Yoongi's name and then they both look to Hoseok, who looked back at neither of them mind. Taehyung shrugs at Jimin before he continues eating.
He says, calmly and his dad cocks his head slightly.
Mr. Jung
Eat your breakfast and then we will take a carriage.
He tells and Hoseok does just that. After about another 30 minutes, he, Dari and his dad make their leave known before they are on their way to Yoongi's house.
Mrs. Min
You didn't come home last night.
Yoongi gulps, as he puts the last of the dishes away and he turns to his mother, who eyed him keenly, waiting for a response.
Yoongi
Sorry mom, I slept at a friend's house.
Mrs. Min
Perhap's a lady friend's house?
She smiles at how flustered he gets at her question.
He says, with a small smile and he said it quite quietly but somehow his father had heard.
Yoongi fights a smile, it'd been so long since he heard his dad speak to him without any agression.
Yoongi
I... yeah, I... I guess.
Mrs. Min
I told you he would find someone.
She says happily and she pulls Yoongi into a hug excitedly, and he thinks for a man he might enjoy her embrace a little too much.
His words get caught in his throat when there is a knock on the door, shocking them. They don't often have visitors. It was a rare thing, honestly. It couldn't have been Hoseok either, because he never did have the decency to knock.
Mr. Min
Yoongi, get the door.
Yoongi nods before he runs over to the door, opening it swiftly so that he doesn't keep whoever it was waiting any longer. Yoongi's eyes widen.
He speaks politely before he bows, showing some manner and a panic runs through him.
Mr. Jung
May we come inside?
The man asks, rather jovial yet all Yoongi could think was that Hoseok and Dari's dad was hear to tell his dad everything. From him getting intimate with Dari to even Hoseok. He pushes some of his panic down before he steps aside so that they could enter the house.
Mr. Jung stepped in first, before Dari followed behind him and she smiles at Yoongi softly before she walked away. And then Hoseok was right behind them, but instead of just walking away immediately. He quickly whispers to Yoongi, desperately.
Yoongi questioned confused, but the other just walked away behind his father and sister making Yoongi sigh. Was he in trouble? Why were they here?
Mrs. Min
Hello, Mayor Jung. To what may we owe the pleasure.
Mr. Jung
My daughter here seems to have fallen completely for your son.
He says, getting straight to the point.
Mr. Jung
I am here to get him to propose to her if you guys will allow it.
Mr. Min
Of course. We have been trying to get this boy married for years now.
The man pipes up with a huge smile. He was happy, of course he'd be this was more than just a wife for Yoongi. This was the daughter of one of the wealthiest man in town. This was the best possible outcome in his mind.
Mr. Min
Come, have a seat.
Yoongi gulps as he looks over at Hoseok, who looks at him expectingly. They makes their way to the dining table and they have a seat.
Hoseok makes sure to sit next to Yoongi, who looks at him for a second before he looks away. He looked good, which was the last thing he should be thinking now or any time for that matter.
Mr. Min
So you want to marry my son?
He says, enthusiastically and Dari smiles brightly at him before she looks to Yoongi.
Mrs. Min
That is wonderful.
Mrs. Min
Yoongi, has been talking about you all morning.
Hoseok shifts uncomfortably in his chair.
Mrs. Min
You want to marry her too, right?
He looks to his dad, who nods at him and he goes to open his mouth, but he hesitates when Hoseok's hand finds his, and he squeezes as if begging him not to.
He whispers softly and he feels a low pain in his chest when, Hoseok pulls his hand away immediately.
Mr. Jung
Great. Now that we're all on board. We have some requirements that we need to m-
Mr. Jung's eyes shoot over to Hoseok's as the younger stands, a little dramatically if you asked Mr. Jung and he sighs as Hoseok speaks.
Hoseok
I have to use the bathroom.
He taps Yoongi's shoulder before he speaks again.
Hoseok
show me where it is?
He pleads and Yoongi nods. As he stood he could feel everyone's eyes on them, Hoseok did not care though. He needed to get away from everyone otherwise he'd probably start crying again. Yoongi leads Hoseok to the bathroom.
The moment he steps in after Hoseok, he sees the other walking around in a panic.
Hoseok
Why would you say yes?
He says,knowing how bad the other got when he panicked. He's heard of people dying do to panic and so he always tried to stop Hoseok from getting too immersed in whatever he was feeling.
Hoseok
Calm down? I... How can I calm down? I.... You're going to get married. and I...
Hoseok
What am I suppose to do without you?
He practically shouts, Yoongi puts a finger over his lips so that he'd lower his voice.
Hoseok
I told you to say no. I...
Hoseok
Do you really like her? You.. I thought you said that because you wanted to make me upset and now... I...
He falls to his knees breathing heavily and he starts crying and without a second thought and Yoongi stoops down before the other before he pulls him into a hug. He hated seeing Hoseok like this.
He holds Hoseok tightly in his arms,and he places soft kisses against the older's hair to sooth him. Like he did all the other times Hoseok got like this.
He admits, he didn't want to but he knew it was the only way he'd get Hoseok to calm down.
Yoongi
I need to get married Hoseok, and I don't have any options. She's the only one willing to marry me. I... I had to do it..
He explains and Hoseok cries a little more making Yoongi feel bad. He just continues kissing the other's hair before he whispers little "sorrys"
Yoongi
This is what's best for me.
He whispers softly and he pulls Hoseok closer, because he knew he'd miss this. He'd miss being so close with the other, once he was married, he couldn't kiss his hair like this to make him feel better.
He couldn't kiss him... at all.
He hates that that makes him feel almost regret for agreeing to marry Dari. He should be overjoyed to be marrying Dari.
Hoseok
You're not gonna leave me, are you?
He pleads as he sits up, pulling himself from Yoongi's arms so he could hold Yoongi's face in his hands.
Hoseok
You're my only friend. I... I don't have anyone else who cares about me like you do.
He rests his forehead against Yoongi's as he continues crying.
Hoseok
No one who cares about my stupid stories, but you.
Hoseok
You're the only one I want to talk to when i get home from school. I... I want to come by your house so you can tell me about how boring your day was. I want to see you smile when I say something you don't agree with.
Hoseok
I want to kiss you, like you are mine. Sleep next to you at nights, until morning comes. I want to be yours. Don't-
Hoseok
You can't let her steal you from me.
He sobbed and Yoongi feels himself tearing up, he felt his heart tingle at those words. Hoseok shouldn't be saying all that to him but he liked it. He wanted to hear it. Made him feel special.
If he was being honest, he kinda wanted that too but he still thinks he was just saying that because he wasn't in his right mind. He should be happy that he's getting married.
but here he was on the verge of tears.
He whispers and Hoseok sobs more against him, it was depressing to hear
Yoongi
shhh, i'll still be your bestfriend. Hoseok, and I'll still read all your stupid stories, even though I can't read that well.
Hoseok
My stories aren't that stupid.
He whines and Yoongi laughs before he hugs the other and when Yoongi pulls away Hoseok kisses him and he doesn't pull away.
It's different this time, almost bittersweet. It felt almost like this was goodbye but it wasn't. Felt like he'd mever feel this way again and Yoongi doesn't entirely know what to think about that so he just shuts his mind off for a minute, reveling in the kiss.
Hoseok finally pulls away, and Yoongi wipes away his tears with a tissue. Making sure his face was dry and he tries to make the other seem as though he was not just bawling his eyes out. When he's done the best he could,he throws the tissue in the bin and he stands. He goes to leave but he sighs and he turns back to Hoseok before he holds the other's face and he pecks him on the lips softly before he backs away once more
Yoongi
I'll go back down now. Come quickly.
He said, and then he was out the bathroom leaving Hoseok, who was in shocked that Yoongi just kissed him on his own.
That was the first time he'd ever done that.
