Her Husband, My Love [Yoonseok | Sope | Taejinjoon | Jikook ]
How Could I Not Love A Man Like That?
Hoseok
I had been terribly lost in a world of my own yesternight.
A smile rises on his heart shaped lips, growing wider when the boy his eyes have been yearning to gaze upon looks to him, a smile also on his thin lips.
Yoongi
I am certain you were.
He was wearing the most basic clothes, yet he still looked so prim, and proper. Too bad only he seemed to come to that conclusion.
Yoongi
But I must say, I was not expecting to see you today.
He scratches the back of his head before he stares down at his feet, terribly embarrassed. He was so excited to see the boy that he'd forgotten to make it known he'd been stopping by.
Hoseok
I apologize for the abruptness of my appearance I just... I'm not sure anyone but you cares for my nonsensical rants.
He chuckles nervously, and he watches as Yoongi stands from the chair he had been seated in on his porch before he makes his way closer to Hoseok, who stood at the very base of the House's steps.
Yoongi
I'd like to think it is them who are too busy being morons to appreciate the beauty of your thoughts.
Hoseok smiles timidly and as he sees Yoongi take a seat on the steps, he follows, and he blocks out the judgmental voice of his mom that shouts in the very back of his head to get up, and stop dirtying his trousers.
Hoseok
Oh Yoongi, You have too much admiration for me. I am not close to being worthy.
He pauses for a minute before he gains the courage look over at the younger boy.
Hoseok
But, Perhaps I could speak to you of my dreams. I've been dying to.
He practically moans, he has so many thoughts he wanted to share with his friend. His only friend. The only one he needed.
For as long as he can remember, it has always been them, Just him and Yoongi. The way it was always to be.
Yoongi
Go on then. I'll hear it.
He smiles once more before he begins.
Hoseok
I headed up, I don't know how, but I went up past the trees, past the tall buildings, even past those fluffy clouds staring down at us right now.
Hoseok
It is difficult to even begin to explain. Scared, I was, but not as much as I was thrilled.
Hoseok
I went beyond the sad blue of the sky, and I have not even the smallest clue what it could have been, but it was magnificent.
Hoseok
They always say "reach until you touch the stars, Hoseok." And I touched them with my own two hands. The burning bright lights up above, Yoongi.
Hoseok
I wanted to bring it back with me, but as I tried to grab it, I was rudely woken by the screams of my wretched mother.
He smiles the brightest he had all day, the highlights of his days were always whenever he could speak with Yoongi. Having him near made him happy beyond words.
Yoongi
You deserve it though, have they not told you rich folk not to steal?
Yoongi laughs a bit, and he covers his mouth as he usually does and Hoseok doesn't know how many times he'll have to tell him not to hide his laughter before he truly stops.
Hoseok
They don't need to, it is deeply woven in us since the very day we take our first breath.
Hoseok
But you don't understand, Yoongi.
Yoongi sighs a bit, and Hoseok turns more to him, ranting was almost their secret language. Hoseok's safe place.
Yoongi
What do I not understand?
Hoseok
I would steal a thousand times over for you.
Yoongi looks at him with mouth wide open but it eventually morphs into a polite smile before he shakes his head with a soft chuckle.
Yoongi
Don't speak nonsense now, Hoseok, you're too brilliant to-
Hoseok lifts his gloved hand and he places it over Yoongi's soft thin lips and Hoseok gazes at them for a second before his eyes finds Yoongi's, and he speaks.
Hoseok
I wanted to bring all the stars for you. So you could see with those big beautiful brown eyes of yours that...
He thinks for a while, trying to find the best way to express himself. The clearest way.
Hoseok
That regardless of what they utter, you are brighter than any star that shines above.
Hoseok
The brightest of any star in my universe.
At that Yoongi looks away, and he removes Hoseok's finger from his lips before he sighs.
Yoongi
You say you are not worthy of my praise, even when so brilliant, yet even with the mediocre education I have received, you still speak so highly of me.
He sounds a bit touched, almost grateful yet not.
Hoseok
Even with the lack of proper education, you're as smart as me. If I were to be honest, it scares me to think of how immaculate you would be if you had even half the resources I do.
That makes Yoongi laugh again, how badly had they beat down his self-confidence?
Yoongi
You have set your expectations of me far too high, lower it otherwise you will only be disappointed in the future.
Hoseok
You could never disappoint me.
Hoseok tells, and he meant it, in his eyes, Yoongi was nothing short of perfection.
Yoongi
I am certain those were the exact words my parents said to themselves the day I was birth, and how quickly they took back their words.
He ponders for a bit, a small smile on his face. A sad one.
Yoongi
It is a bit sad, frankly.
Yoongi
If you do not stop with all these praises, I might shed a tear or two when you finally realize I'm right.
He attempts at a joke but Yoongi had failed to understand that Hoseok was being serious, about all he said.
Hoseok
But you're wrong. I will love you forever Yoongi, always. No matter what happens.
Yoongi
You shouldn't speak like that, Hoseok.
He warns, and his smile had disappeared fully now.
He asks, as though he didn't know why.
Yoongi
Because men don't speak like that, especially not to each other.
Yoongi
Save your tender words for whatever beautiful girl you meet in school, as will I.
Yoongi explains, and Hoseok groans before he rolls his eyes.
Hoseok
You poor thing, you let them corrupt your mind. How sad.
Yoongi looks back over at him, an eyebrow raised, and their eyes lock again. But only for a few seconds before Yoongi had given in and looked away.
Hoseok
My love is not limited to just a woman.
Hoseok
My love is limited to a man who, a man who listens to me like he'd rather not be anywhere else.
Hoseok
How could I not love a man like that?
Hoseok questions, and he smiles as he ends, knowing he meant every word.
Yoongi
You absolute moron.
Yoongi groans frustratedly before he shakes his head, and he turns to face Hoseok.
Yoongi
Go home. It will be dinner time soon. Your family is missing you.
Yoongi nods, and he stands to get up and head back inside his home, but Hoseok continues before he could.
Hoseok
Only if you tell me you will yearn for me to come back.
Hoseok smiles as Yoongi's eyes fall shut and his head lowers in defeat. He could not get rid of Hoseok could he? No. No, he could not.
Yoongi
How could I yearn for you when you're always near? I know you pass by everyday just to stare at me. It is one of the many weird things you do, my friend.
Hoseok
I thought I was being rather stealthy.
Hoseok pouts, Has Yoongi been seeing him all this time? He must've seemed like a creep.
Hoseok sighs but he nods, mainly because Yoongi was halfway through the door of his house. Just as he closes the door, Hoseok whispers lowly.
and he makes his way home, with his mind along the journey, flooding him with baseless thoughts.
