I don't know what's happening to me, for the past few weeks I have been feeling off, I feel like something is happening with Carla, it's a strange feeling.
During these past eight years, my feelings for her had remained the same, it was only affection and pleasure, but apparently something else emerged, that feeling frightens me.
Every day I desire her more, her body, everything about her drives me crazy, I want to do things that I used to dislike, perhaps it's just my imagination, but I think I love her and I fear losing her.
After what had happened the night before, I decided to come home early, so after the trial, I went straight home. I wanted to spend time with her, maybe watch a movie or cook together, but I couldn't find her at home and to top it off she wasn't answering my calls. I felt very upset, where the hell is she and with whom? Just the thought of her being with another man fills me with anger.
Around nine in the evening, I heard a car arrive, so I hurried and opened the door. It was her getting out of a taxi, from the way she walked I could tell she was drunk. What the hell is happening to her? She wasn't one to drink, but now she was doing it very often.
"Hello, darling," she said as soon as she saw me.
She was swaying a little, so I approached to help her enter.
"Can you please tell me where you were?" I asked, slightly annoyed.
"I was with a friend," she replied nonchalantly.
With a friend, did I hear that correctly? She had just told me she was with another man. I felt my anger increasing.
"And you say it like it's nothing," I said almost shouting.
"Please, Mauricio, just shut up. I don't know what you're thinking, but I wasn't doing anything wrong. Now take me to the bedroom," she yelled at me.
I was frozen, my wife had practically changed. This woman was different from the one I knew. After the scolding she gave me, I took her to the bedroom.
She took off her clothes and was left in her underwear, she looked so beautiful, I wanted to touch her, but I knew it wasn't the right moment. So, I helped her get into bed and then covered her with the sheets.
The next day, she didn't get up as usual to prepare my breakfast, so I just had a cup of coffee and headed to the law firm. I worked until lunchtime, then I went to Sofia's house. I had promised to have lunch with her and our son.
My champion welcomed me as always, that child was the light of my eyes. Sofia wanted to kiss me, but discreetly I didn't let her, I know I made her feel bad, but I was so confused, at the moment the only person I wanted was Carla.
We sat down as usual, my son was happy to see us together, and that made me happy too. We were about to finish when we heard a knock on the door. Sofia looked at me strange, as we weren't expecting anyone, she got up and went to open the door. Just a few seconds later, I saw Carla appear in the dining room. I felt like dying.

Carla got up as soon as she felt Mauricio had left. She took a quick shower and after getting ready, she headed to Manuel's law firm, where she was expected by Marcos, Manuel's friend.
"Mrs. Lopez, welcome," Marcos said.
"Thank you, Dr. Londoño, but please call me Carla," she said, shaking Marcos' hand.
"Then call me Marcos," he said, pointing to the chair.
"Okay, Marcos," Carla smiled and sat down.
"Well, Carla, the divorce petition is ready, I also have everything prepared in case we go to trial, the evidence is more than enough, with this we will get more than 70% of the assets acquired during the marriage." Marcos handed her a series of documents, which Carla carefully reviewed.
"Perfect," she said, and then signed.
"Manuel told me that you want to deliver the petition yourself, if you want I can accompany you," he said.
"I would appreciate that," she said.
After that, the two left towards Carla's father's law firm, but just at that moment Mauricio was coming out, so they decided to follow him.
Half an hour later, Mauricio entered the house where his family lived, Carla decided to wait for half an hour before entering. When she saw it was the right time, she got out of the car, accompanied by Marcos.
Carla was determined, so she didn't hesitate and knocked on the door, just a minute later Sofia opened it, shocked to see Carla. Carla didn't say a word, she just made her way in and entered the house.
"Good afternoon, honey," Carla said when she saw Mauricio.
He turned pale upon seeing her, Carla noticed that their child was present, so she had to maintain composure.
"Carla," Mauricio said.
Sofia entered the dining area, took her son in her arms, and stood behind Mauricio, which amused Carla.
"Don't worry, I haven't come to cause a scene or harm you, as that's not my way of doing things," Carla said calmly.
Carla looked at Marcos, he understood and immediately took the documents out of his briefcase, which he handed to Mauricio.
"What is this?" he asked.
"It's the divorce petition, Mr. Lopez," Marcos responded.
"I hope you sign it without any issues," she said.
Mauricio couldn't utter a word, Carla had discovered everything and with that, the possibility of being with her had gone, he realized he loved her, he felt his heart wrenching.
"Carla, let's talk," he said when he saw her turning to leave.
"Talk," she said. "I don't think we have anything to talk about. I hope you sign the papers as soon as possible," she concluded.
Mauricio crumpled the documents and walked towards the exit.
"Honey, where are you going?" Sofia said, grabbing his arm.
Mauricio jerked his arm away roughly, then ran out with the intention of catching up to Carla.
