Emilio looked at Jazmin who was somewhat upset.

"Is something wrong?" Emilio asked, taking a sip of whiskey and holding Jazmin by the waist, watching the redhead pass by.

Jazmin looked at Emilio, he had red lipstick on his lips, she knew very well what Emilio had been doing with that redhead for hours.

"Let go of me and wipe that lipstick off, it doesn't suit you," Jazmin said angrily, taking off the lipstick with her finger.

"Jazmin my dear, I'm going to rest now. I hope to see you soon and Jazmin, it was a pleasure to meet you. Feel free to visit me anytime," Charlotte said, hugging both of them, putting an end to their fight.

"Just so you know, there's no need to worry about resting," Jazmin said with a smile.

"Rest, Mom. I'll talk to you tomorrow," Emilio said, giving his mother a kiss on the cheek.

"Excuse us, you can continue having fun," Charlotte said, walking up the stairs.

"I can't wait to leave. Take me to the hospital," Jazmin said, walking to the exit of the house.

"I don't understand why you get angry, Jazmin. Enough with the tantrums, people will notice," Emilio said.

"I'm just saying, if we're going to pretend to be in this stupid relationship, please don't go fooling around with someone else when we're in the same place, just so it's a bit believable!" Jazmin said, angry.

"Enough, sweetheart. It wasn't like that, just wait," Emilio said, walking behind her.

"Look, I don't want to talk to you. Let go of me," Jazmin said.

"Fine, anyway I don't have to give you an explanation if you and I are nothing," Emilio said, opening the car door for Jazmin to get in.

Jazmin got into the car without saying anything else and Emilio drove off with the driver.

Both of them didn't say anything, they looked out the car window until they arrived at the hospital.

"Remember, you start work early tomorrow," Emilio said before Jazmin got out of the car.

Jazmin got out of the car and slammed the door shut, entering the hospital.

"Why the hell does she always slam the doors?" Emilio muttered.

Emilio went to his apartment, it was already night. He went straight to his room and collapsed on the bed, took his phone and opened his conversation with Jazmin. He was about to send a message, but he didn't

Jazmin returned to the hospital at night, Cristi was already asleep.

"You should go get some rest. She won't wake up until tomorrow," Richard whispered.

"I thought she might be awake," Jazmin said, looking at Cristi.

"Do you want a coffee? I'll go to the cafeteria to get some food," Richard said, leaving the room.

"Yes, I haven't eaten all day," Jazmin said, walking alongside Richard.

Richard and Jazmin had dinner together. They talked about Cristi's health and some personal matters, but Jazmin only listened without saying much. Even though Richard was very warm towards her, she didn't feel comfortable to open up.

After finishing dinner, she went back home, took a shower, and went straight to bed. She didn't think about Emilio and everything that had happened. She just wanted to rest after several weeks of not sleeping well.

IN THE MORNING, SHE GOT UP VERY EARLY, LOOKING FOR SOMETHING DECENT TO WEAR. BUT SHE DIDN'T HAVE MUCH MONEY OR TIME TO BUY SOMETHING, SO SHE JUST HEADED TO CONNER'S OFFICE

Upon arriving, a woman handed her a couple of suits. They were a bit loose, but she didn't say anything. The woman showed her what she would be doing for a couple of hours, but then they left her with a pile of work to do on her own.

She spent the whole afternoon in the office, going through accounts and payments that had been assigned to her.

When night came, she looked at her phone. It was already 9 pm, and her working hours had passed two hours ago.

She hurried out of the office, rushing to the hospital to see Cristi.

And so, her days went on for almost two weeks. Emilio hadn't called her or seen her, she only knew about him because he would send her food.

Her day off finally arrived, and she spent part of it in the hospital with Cristi. She was doing much better, had started her therapies and slept more because she would get tired.

Jazmin took the opportunity to go for a walk

Laura said, greeting Jazmin with a kiss and a hug.

"Hello Laura," Jazmin replied.

"What are you doing? Are you going somewhere?" Laura asked.

"No, it's my day off and I went for a walk," Jazmin answered.

"Perfect! I invite you to a bar that I just opened and I won't take no for an answer. Emilio already said he can't come, but you can't let me down," Laura insisted.

"Alright," Jazmin agreed. "I was feeling stressed, so going out to dance would help. It's been a while."

"Okay, let's go then. I'll lend you some clothes. Don't worry, babe," Laura said.

Haha, alright," Jazmin chuckled.

Upon arriving at the bar, Jazmin checked her phone and saw that it had very little battery left. It could die at any moment, so she put it in her bag and changed into a dress that Laura had given her. Leaving the restroom, Laura took Jazmin's hand and they entered the crowded place.

"Here, have this. It'll warm you up," Laura said, handing Jazmin a whiskey.

Jazmin immediately took a sip and felt it burn her throat, causing her to cough.

"You don't drink much, do you?" Laura asked.

"No," Jazmin replied.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of you and you take care of me. Nothing bad will happen," Laura assured her.

Emilio tried calling Jazmin, but it went straight to voicemail. It was clear that her phone was off.

"Is there something wrong, sir? Did you call me?" a person asked.

"Yes, I need you to find Jazmin and let me know as soon as you find her," Emilio said, grabbing his coat.

"Yes, sir," the person replied.

Emilio went to his apartment and, as soon as he arrived, angrily drank a large glass of whiskey.

"Why the long face, brother?" Joshua asked, entering the room.

"Nothing, it's just that I can't find Jazmin," Emilio said.
