the end of mid summer's dream and road trip

The next day was amusing; Jimin managed to be led downstairs by the help of Jungkook, it was fun to watch two sore people helping each other out, Minah kept giving them weird stares trying to figure out who was in pain due to something else; they agreed on the story about Jungkook’s limping due to him sleeping funny because he was afraid to crush Jimin in his sleep, so Misoo took well the reason behind their weird way of walking since she wouldn’t imagine that both those hormonal boys would go to that extreme just to be that intimate, but not Minah; she kept bothering them but no one paid her any attention

The driver came for Jungkook and it was as if he came to take him away for good; Jimin wouldn’t let go of him, he kept hugging and kissing him in front of the house porch that Sam the driver had to honk at them

The following week was eventful by everything but Jimin and Jungkook having some alone time; Jungkook enrolled at Chinese martial art school, a decision came after the incident happened; his mother agreed right away, since her psychologist/friend told her that everyone had different way of dealing with the trauma of the assault and knowing Jungkook, he would want something that made him feel in control and secured, he needed to gain his confidence again and stop living in fear of it happening again

Jimin wasn’t that thrill about it though; not because he didn’t want his Kookie to get better and get over the incident but because it meant less time with his boyfriend; Jungkook spent too much time there and that bothered Jimin, he was trying to get better and be more active and do exciting things with Jungkook but both of them were sore; Jungkook was sore from the hard training and Jimin was still getting better, they didn’t have a chance to be intimate and that killed Jimin who didn’t care who the **** bottom or top as long as he got to be with his boyfriend but it was hopeless   

Things got better the last week of vacation; Jimin and Jungkook were leaving to Seoul and Jimin was driving them there; at first his mother refused claiming that he was still injured but he and the doctor assured her that he was good to go, as for Jungkook; he asked his mother and she didn’t find the reason to why not let her son go with Jimin, so it was settled

The day of their departure, both mothers overdramatized their goodbyes and others had to interfere and freed the boys, Jimin was happy and excited that he got to experience something new with Jungkook

“It is also a first, you know” said Jimin when they were outside Busan city on the road

“What first?” asked Jungkook

“Traveling with my boyfriend by car” stated Jimin

“it is a five hours drive; anything can happen, just don’t regret it and remember; it was your idea” warned Jungkook

“Why do you always burst my bubble? I was having a moment here” said Jimin whining

“Well excuse me for being realistic; my mom said that traveling or living together with the significant other is the most crucial way to test the strength of the relationship; flaws and real nature would manage to pop out” said Jungkook

“Damn! You don’t see how romantic and hot it is to be with your boyfriend on the road where anything exciting could happen” said Jimin pouting

“Or bad too” proposed Jungkook

“Jungkook shut up, just shut up” said Jimin firmly but he was not angry, he just was fantasying about the trip that he was faced with the reality that he was dating Jungkook not himself

“See? Not fifteen minutes since we left and you are already mad” said Jungkook happy that he proved a point

“I am not, I was kind hoping you would be more enthusiastic about it” said Jimin lowly his eyes still on the road

“I am! I really am, what you want me to do to prove it” said Jungkook defensively but he knew that he was exaggerating and Jimin wasn’t that wrong about his assumption

“Kookie what do you usually do in the car, when you go on trips?” asked Jimin and Jungkook didn’t reply right away

“Sleep” said Jungkook finally admitting with a small voice

“So you’re kind of the worst type of company any driver would want to have; the driver always needs someone who keeps him entertained and awake” said Jimin sighing

“So you want me to entertaining you?” asked Jungkook

“No!!! I am just stating facts about road trips like you did earlier about traveling” said Jimin monotone and anyone could tell that he was sulky that his fantasy about the trip didn’t happen like it did in his head

“Funny. Well look on the bright side; I’m willing to do one of the two things with you that I don’t deem alright just yet but since I love you” said Jungkook trying to ease that frown from his boyfriend

“What’s that?” asked Jimin still not interested to hear him or that what it seemed to Jungkook

“Traveling with my one month boyfriend, not that I had one before but my point is that I can’t live or travel with a lover at this early stage of a relationship” said Jungkook

“So you’re not moving in with me to my new dorms? I thought we will switch with Tae” said Jimin turning to look at his boyfriend

“no and please don’t push it” said Jungkook looking at him with pleading eyes

“Why? What’s scaring you?” asked Jimin concerned

“what if we fight? What if I get mad at you and I just want to be left alone” asked Jungkook being the realistic one in the relationship

“I will leave the room and give you your space but wait…. This is crazy! How could you only look at things like this? I mean we are in love and I will never be that mad at you, I just can’t afford it” said Jimin obliviously and naively like always when it was about love, relationship and Jungkook

“Just drop it for now, please” pleaded Jungkook with those big eyes that Jimin had no chance in arguing further

“Fine! Go to sleep; I will wake you when we are at the next rest stop” said Jimin looking back at the road

It wasn’t even five minutes later, that Jimin felt a warm weight on in his lap; Jungkook threw his flip flops and placed his feet on Jimin’s lap

“Kookie? What are you doing?” asked Jimin warily eyes still on the road

“What you said earlier about what the company should do for the driver; I am keeping you company, entertaining you and making sure you stay up” stated Jungkook coolly  resting his back on the car’s door trying to look unaffected by the proximity of his feet to Jimin

“Yeah, not like this!!! This will get us killed or in major car accident; you are expecting me to focus when you’re wiggling your feet like this” said Jimin moving one of his hand off the wheel to put it on Jungkook’s bare thigh since Jungkook was wearing shorts making Jimin’s mind ran wild

“Why? I’m comfortable like this” said Jungkook faking innocent enjoying the fact that Jimin was struggling to keep straight face while driving; good thing the traffic was light

“So you’re telling me you’re cool with me doing this right now?” said Jimin while moving his hand under Jungkook’s shorts to grope his *** causing Jungkook to whimper and moved his feet off Jimin’s lap

“That’s not fair; I didn’t touch anything!!!” said Jungkook adjusting and Jimin just chuckled and that was enough for Jungkook because he wanted to get rid of that frown on his boyfriend’s forehead

“Don’t worry; we’re almost near the rest place and we will do more than just touching” said Jimin informing evilly

“Dream on horny; I don’t do anything in uncomfortable and unfamiliar places, beside the rest spot is only two hours to Seoul” scoffed Jungkook

“yes, I am horny and I can’t believe that you’re fine with us not doing anything after that night” admitted Jimin coolly causing the composed Jungkook’s breath to be sucked due to Jimin’s bold and cool way of talking about something like that so casually; the old Jungkook wouldn’t find any problem talking about that, but the new Jungkook was different; he was like he had just gotten out of high school and he was experiencing things for the first time, the most challenging thing or the thing that made Jungkook looked different was the fact that emotions and feelings were  involved and that never happened to him before; he usually just an asshole to who he fucked or fooled around with

“I’ve been too; well since you came for the first time to the restaurant wearing those shorts flaunting your thighs at me” said Jungkook flatly but Jimin without even turning knew that Jungkook was blushing; when it came to expressing how he felt, Jungkook surprisingly became shy

“Really?” asked Jimin smiling happily that he affected Jungkook as much as he was affected by him

“Yeah, trust me it is taking a lot from me not to just jump at you and **** you” said Jungkook calmly and Jimin breath hitched at the confession and he was so close to hit the breaks

“What the?? Kookie? Is that you?” asked Jimin

“Keep calling me Kookie and I will show you what I am capable of, especially now that you’re fully recovered and ready to switch things up” said Jungkook meaningfully

“I really just want to step on the gas and just drive straight to Seoul so I can see how special you will make me feel” said Jimin grunting at the thought

“I need to pee so the rest stop is a must” said Jungkook

“Again! Why do you burst the bubble when I’m having the moment” whined Jimin

“Well in my defense; if I let you have this particular moment; we will end up dead because you would be so horny and blind with lust that you wouldn’t focus on the road” said Jungkook

“Puff, fine, just don’t distract me or I won’t even care if we are at the rest stop or Seou or in between” presaged Jimin

The rest stop was a swift task for the boys; Jungkook went to the bathrooms and Jimin bought the snacks and the food for the rest of the road. They carried on with their trip to Seoul smoothly afterward, Jungkook if he wasn’t eating or listening to music, he managed to sleep most of the road and Jimin didn’t have the heart to wake him up

Arriving at the university had a strange feel to it for the boys; things changed drastically since they last left; things about them rather than the college, because that place was the same, maybe different people but still the same atmosphere along with the newbie’s’ enthusiastic that Jungkook believed would be crushed by the next month

“Kookie, wake up; we are here” said Jimin softly while nudging him a bit roughly because he was a heavy sleeper

“Huh? Already?” said Jungkook with dry voice

“Glad you enjoyed my driving but I think you should ask Tae or the dorms’ register office about your new room” said Jimin; they were still in the car near the offices

“What about you?” asked Jungkook

“Hoseok hyung moved in to the new dorms since summer; I’m rooming with him” said Jimin

“oh right! He didn’t go back home, I will call Tae” said Jungkook still a bit sleepy and tired

“He is not picking up” said Jungkook

“You look like a zombie; let’s just go to my room, you look like you need some sleep. We check your room later today” said Jimin driving the car to his new dorms

“By the way Hoseok hyung said that we have our own personal bathroom in each room at our new dorms; it had two rooms instead of one” announced Jimin happily

“The perks of living with a senior” pouted Jungkook because he knew that best case scenario would be him and Tae moving in to the Dorm C that had spacious rooms but still single room for each two roommates

“You were the one that didn’t want to move in with me; that could have been our room” said Jimin intentionally  

“You want to tell me that Hoseok would give up that room to be in our room???” said Jungkook doubtfully

“Well you said it yourself; their relationship is more advance than us, we are still at our early stage, they don’t care where they live as long as it is together” said Jimin pouting a little but he tried not to show it but the tone said it all

“You are not actually guilty trip me to this??? Come on!!” said Jungkook getting off the car

“Well, I am just stating facts” said Jimin cheekily and Jungkook just ignored him because arguing about that subject was unproductive

“It is on the third floor, last room” said Jimin following behind him; he didn’t get the luggage because he was tired so he left everything in the car

“I still think it is sexier to have a distance; we will miss each other and things could be more spicier; I thought couples work hard for that spicy love life” teased Jungkook

“yeah yeah, just don’t change your mind after” said Jimin

“I won’t” promised Jungkook proudly

“Times like these I envy Tae-ah” mumbled Jimin but Jungkook caught it

“Why would you envy him?” asked Jungkook stopping in front of the door frozen not by Jimin’s statement but by what he heard

“Faster Hobi….. faster…… damn you still got it” moaned Tae and Jungkook was scarred  

“What the hell? Let’s run Kookie” said Jimin dragging Jungkook out of the whole building, Jungkook ran with him willingly; he couldn’t believe that he heard his best friend utter those words, it was like hearing his parents or brother doing it…. An image he hoped he could erase and burn
