Sabrina POV

"Doctor! There's an emergency. Your mother!"

Cassie slams the door of my office and gave me thr cellphone panicking. I was shocked and adrenaline pumps through me automatically.

Mom?!

I stop writting the patients' record and took the cellphone.

"Mom? What's wrong?!" I paces around my small office worriedly.

Cassie is besides me, worried about what happen. Mom doesn't usually call unless there's only an urgent matter.

"Honey, are you..okay?! Please..come home. Our house..." a sob was heard.

I heard my brother's voice at the end of the line cursing madly.

I took my dead cellphone and my handbag and walked out from the office. I ordered Cassie to locked my room. I briskly walks like a maniac passed the children's room and the administration counter.

I clicked the lift button continuously and I tap my pastel heels impatiently for the lift to come up.

"Cmon cmon cmon"

I pulled into the driveway and my front door are open widely. I rush in and oh my god. I gasp and i closed my mouth disbelief. What happen?! The house is a mess. All the furnitures are all smash into pieces.

The house is a wreck. The vase, television and all. Mom is crying and the first one that sense me at the front door is Steve.

"Sis!" Steve walked to me sadly and anger expression visible on him.

He hugged me and i hugged him back. Steve is my younger brother, he is 17. He may be a lot younger but he is taller than me and always act like an older brother to me. His dirty blonde hair clashed with mine.

"We thought something bad happen to you, why you aren't pickup the phone?" Steve relief.

My head is between his neck. "My battery died"

"What happen.." i whisper.

"Its that fucker" his grip harden against my petite body. His shaking. Badly.

"Who?" I rub his back slowly trying to cool him down.

"That son of a bitch!" Steve gritted.

"Your father.." i heard mom said between her tears.

I run towards mom and hug her. Dad was a workaholic. He was a good father but not a patience one. He is hot tempered. Yeah it runs through the family as i watch Steve, angrily kicking the mess around him and cursing non stop like a maniac.

One time, Dad starts act differently towards us and rarely came home. He constantly have a fight with mom and steal her money. After months later, mom found out that he had cheated with her with his colleague and the money that he steal was for that woman.

They have a child together without we're knowing it before i was born. Mom was depressed and dad divorce her. I was 16. We didn't hear any news about him until..now.

"We're here for you mom. Tell me, what dad did this time?" I rub her tears and took her hand reassuringly. I need to be there for both of them.

"He's not worth to be call 'DAD'. He is an freaking crazy man!" Steve spat angrily, he sits on the stairs while pulling his hair.

He's a mess. Mom sob even harder and she cover her eyes and murmur something unclear. I glared at Steve.

"Your father loan money with the Underground...for 5 years. They want to collect the money back but he ran off...now the underground is trying to find you to settle the debt cause that useless man is using your name under the loan" i am speechless. Me?

He used me? That useless pathetic father of mine. I looked at the mess they made. I help this family a lot. Now, him? What deeds that he did to me to make me clean his debt? Nothing!

"All this..is a warning. They want the money end of the month" Mom refers to the mess that they made. One of the family frame photo break into pieces.

"We need to get out from here now. As fast as we can. We're not safe living here" mom said emotionless.

"How much..the debt?" I asked.

"A million" Steve answered dryly.

What the hell. I push my hair to the back. Both of my hands are in my white coat. I forgot to take it off. Damn, i take off my coat and put it on my arm. Im sweating badly right now. That is freaking huge of money!

We need to do something. No, i need to do something. That man used my name. They came here because of me. How can i get that lots of money within weeks. I may be a doctor and have good pay, but this amount of money i cant get it in less than a month.

"No. We cannot run like dad. They sure will hunt us"

"What?? NO! I don't want anything bad happen to you and Steve!! This is not ours to concern about!" She's afraid.

I get it. I'm afraid too but i need to be strong for my family that I have left...even it breaks me. A long silence visible in the living room.

"Mom...sis is right" Steve said unwillingly.

"What do you mean right?! Are you crazy?" Mom asked disbelief.

Her hair is messy. I looked at the woman that raise me through heaven and hell. How i wish i can take the pain away.

Suddenly a phone call is audible throughout the living room, i jumped a little. We all look at each other cautiously. I went through the wreck furniture to the phone house that laying against the wall and answer it.

"Hello?"

"Trying to run a way is not going to solve the problem...Doctor"
