Sabrina's POV

"What the hell is this?!"

"It's a dress" Ryder said dryly and looked at me up and down.

"I know it's a dress! Why do i need to wear this? It's an Oath Ceremony, i thought i need to wear something more formal.."

"The Royalty will be there during the Ceremony and they will be having a banquet that evening. Every single woman gonna wear what are you wearing right now"

"I see.." i never knew that we need to wear something like this.

Then i feel a strong deep gaze onto me and my eyes met with this person in front of me. He is staring at me like i'm a piece of meat. In a second, his gaze soften and in any second those weird gaze came back. I realise a small deep grin presence on his handsome face. I shiver.

"Ryder? Is there something wrong?"

"You are so beautiful you know that?" His eyes widen in a weird manner while grinning. He said that word by word and it makes me more shiver under his gaze.

"You look dashing" i said short.

It's true he looks handsome as hell with those suit. He wears his formal black attire and maroon rich tie. His dark brown hair looks so soft that i feel like i want to ruffle it right now. His clean shave face totally makes him look like a total brand new person. Fresh look. He looks like a runaway model!

What am i thinking? Focus. Work! You work, you get money, you pay debt.

Work, money, debt! That's how it works. I stare at the dress that Ryder arranged for me, i cannot demand or complain tho. This dress is so beautiful. The best dress that i've ever wear in my entire life but it's a bit expose on the upper shoulder. Teresa help me prepare with this dress and do my hair after Ryder interrogate me what's up with me and Isaac. That freak.

It's an off shoulder long pastel pink dress. There are small flowers around my waist, here and there. My hair was done by Teresa, half braid style with a beautiful flower hair clip at the back. This is too much. I may look like i'm going to a ball or something.

Now i just pray that this evening i'm doing just fine standing on the crowd of elite politicians and The Royal and hoping that Ryder can stop staring at me like a creep right now and forward.

I'm nervous but i know i can do this!

It's hard than i thought! My face may be smiling endlessly to all the people in this big hall but inside, i'm dying to go out from here. Not less than 10 minutes, girls kept glaring at me non-stop and Ryder seems adding the fuel for this situation by putting his hands on my waist like i'm his partner or something!

"Ryder" i whisper while non-stop smiling.

Then Ryder pull me possessively towards him and whisper to my ear.

"Yes?" His hand is still on me and my heart beats like hell.

I'm nervous. It's crowded here with the politician that i just saw at the meeting room just now and a lot of new faces with their elegant dresses and suits.

"I have 2 questions. First, i thought i came here as your Personal Assistant, not as your partner and two, why most of the women here keep glaring at me?" I said while still smiling in between seethed teeth.

Ryder chuckle softly by looking at my reaction.

"It's the same Sabrina. Both words starts with the letter 'P'. You want it or not, you're going to be here tonight with me" Ryder said while smirking and smug. I don't know why, i have a big feeling that i've been tricked by him...again.

"As for number two, if they start making you uncomfortable, tell me" his tone is serious and dark. He's not playing or joking around. I just nod and tried to fit in the crowd.

Am i his partner? My heart beat raises like crazy.

"Aaa little brother you have arrived" i looked at the owner of that familiar voice, Isaac.

He looks neat and as usual charismatic. At behind, standing a woman that looks young and she is a total beauty. Her dark brown hair is long until her elbow. Her light makeup face is match with her shimmering midnight dress. She is clinging onto the President's arm, Ryder's father behind Isaac.

"Ryder. I'm proud of you" she came bursting into Ryder and hug him.

Who is she? I don't know why my heart clenched by looking at it. Ryder's warm hand left me and he hug this woman dearly like he misses her. I stare at both of them and i feel left out.

Then, the pretty woman gaze on me as she looks curious.

"Excuse me who are you?" She asked polite. I want to open my mouth to introduce my self to this lady but i've been cut.

"Aaa are you the girl that Isaac talk about?? Xavier's Personal Assistant is it? Are you his girl?" She came to me fast and took me a hug.

"N-no!" I said fast.

"What do you mean No?" This woman shoot me with questions again.

"I-i mean Yes!"

"So which one, yes or no?" She asked me again.

"Mother!" This time Ryder turns to speak. Wait what?! Mother?! That's mean this beautiful young woman is Isaac and Ryder's mom?! No way! She looks young.

Then, this woman gave in a laugh while covering her mouth. Such a polite woman.

"I'm sorry i didn't introduce myself, i'm Renee. I'm the mother of this 2 boys over here. What's your name?" Renee asked.

"I'm Sabrina Danielle Mason. I worked as a Paediatrician in a hospital before. Currently, I'm Ryder's Personal Assistant and Personal Doctor, Mrs. Knight" I explained to her and bow my head a bit.

" *cough* someone possessive *cough* " Isaac fake cough. I ignored Isaac and i know that is for Ryder.

Ryder glare at him like he wants to kill him while Isaac pretend that he didn't said anything.

"Son, get ready. You need to sit at the front. The ceremony will start any time soon" His father said.

Ryder just nod and walked pass through his father like nothing. I can feel that he didn't have good relationship with his father tho. He pull me towards him and walk to the front and we were greeted by few women here and there.

Legit i want to go back home now. This is so annoying.

"Well Ryder. Are you free tonight?" A woman asked him in hopeful.

"It's 'Mr.Knight'. Don't you have any respect?" he corrected it in despise. Then the woman flinched and just left us.

Well serve her right! She tried to trip me for few times just now. Why the hell she is so mean! Like duh\~ i don't know her. Maybe he wants Ryder's attention. He is the eye and mouth of people around here tho. Some people were proud , some were jealous of her achievement.

People do bad mouth him indirectly when talking to him regarding his position. It is because of his father and brother is in the politic itself but Ryder do know how to counter attack all those jerks that saying bad things about him. He let them speechless.

Politician and elite people are really scary. They are all hypocrite. Money and status is their God. Every person in this hall are all greedy and hunger of being stinking rich.

"Mommy look...a fairy princess!" A boy exclaimed in excitement.

"Leo, sshh. Keep quiet" a woman in 30s hushing her son.

It caught Ryder and my attention from that voice, both of us stare at this little boy who wear a tuxedo and he is looking at me like he sees something extravagant. He is so cute.

"I am so sorry. Leo tends to speak what's in his mind when he sees anything that took his interest. You are Mrs?" the woman that i assume his mother said.

He is around 5 or 6. I smile to her and Leo. This is the sincere smile that i ever gave in this past 2 hours.

"It's okay. No Mrs. Please call me-"

"Knight. Mrs Knight" Ryder cut me. What!?

I gave Ryder a look and he act like it's nothing. I elbow his side and he glare at me. I glare at him back.

"I'm- i'm so sorry Mrs Knight. Please forgive me and my son" she said nervously.

"No no it's okay madam. Leo sure is a clever and a handsome boy, isn't he?" I crouch down and it left few people stares at what i am doing. I can feel hot gaze everywhere looking towards me.

"Please Mrs Knight. You don't need to do this" the woman panic and assure me to stand up.

"It's okay. I'm going to talk to this little guy over here. Is it okay?" I asked for his mother permission. Dealing with kids is my specialty. I love children so much. They are so pure, innocent and indirectly teaching us about the meaning of life. I learned a lot from them in the past. Leo really reminds me of Chloe so much.

"Mrs. Knight. You are so pretty like a fairy princess!" He said again.

"Yes i am your fairy princess. I came here to find you Leo, Fairy princess wants to tell you that, you are being a good boy for this entire year. So, please keep up the good work. Eat vegetables and listen to your mother. Okay?"

Leo's eyes sparkle like diamonds and he gave me a million dollar smile. He nod his head eagerly and shows his smile with his teeth at me. I ruffle his hair and he chuckle.

I stand up and suddenly Ryder crouch to Leo. I am curious tho with his sudden action.

Ryder's POV

I crouch down to this Leo kid and whisper something to his ear.

"This is my fairy princess you little spoiled brat. Don't ever looked at her" then i let my tongue out at shock Leo and stand up while pulling clueless Sabrina towards me. We bid goodbye to Anthony's wife. Anthony is currently talking with the other businessmen like him. He's a nice guy.

"What did you just say to him?" This beautiful angel asked me.

I stared at her long, admiring her in and out. How i love and melted seeing how soft she talks with the kid, how she makes that Leo boy gave in a big million dollar smile and admire her, of how she crouch down despite of wherever she is even though this is a formal event. She didn't care what people would say and talk about what she did.

My heart fucking melted! Hell, i am jealous against a kid for goodness sake. My grip against Sabrina's waist tighten. 

Imagine seeing her with OUR kids. Shit! it's sexy as hell!

"I said he is sure a good boy"

"You do?" She said in amusement and excitement.

"Why do you look so happy, he is just a kid"

I asked in annoyance. Stop smiling like an idiot for that kid will you?

This time this fairy princess makes an annoyed face.
