"Mom i'm fine. Hmm. Yes. I'm totally-. Yes, mom." I adjust my phone between my ear and shoulder while preparing breakfast. It's 7:30 a.m. I flip the pancakes and put it on a plate.
"Okay mom, i will lock-. Okay. I love you too. Bye mom. " i sigh and put my cell at my side.
She's worried and keep calling asking me how i'm doing. I'm fine so far. I cut my pancake and want to dig in but being cut off with loud ringing on my cell. Without looking at it, i answered the call.
"Hello?"
"Dr. I want you here in 15"
I frowned and look at the phone number back. It's him. I gave him a cheery voice as ever and control my annoyed.
"I'm sorry sir, actually i'm having my breakfast here. Can i-"
"See you in 15" then he hung up the call.
I looked at the phone in disbelief. What?! Are you joking me? Ergh. I pack my pancake and put in my lunchbox and get ready in 5 minutes. I wore my usual formal attire and maroon heels. I drove as fast as i can and arrived at the location that he gave me in 20. Well i'm late anyway. What's the rush.
It's my first day and he already demand for me to come ASAP. Forget about first day, the moment i signed the contract he already make a list of what Do's and Don't. Don't do this and don't do that. I slammed the door hard with protest. Now, i'm at his mansion.
I tie my hair high and groan. There are 2 body guards at the huge mansion door in front of me. I take a look at this place and i'm in awe. This is so beautiful. It's not antique or old fashioned but it's a modern mansion. The concept really suits my taste. I'm too busy angering at him that i don't realise that this place is a place that fall from heaven. Simple yet modern.
"Um excuse me. I am Dr Sabrina Danielle Tyson. Mr. Alexander asked me to come here. I am his personal doctor by the way"
One of the bodyguard ignored me and talked at his intercom wireless headset. After few minutes, they opened the door and let me in. I thanked them and when i entered the place, i am dumbstruck. The place is so...amazing. Few maids are cleaning the hall and i asked one of them.
"Excuse me madam, may i know where is Mr Alexander is?" I asked the elderly woman with maid uniform. She stopped mopping the floor and looked at me.
"Are you Dr. Sabrina?" She asked and i gave her a yes.
"Oh my, i'm so sorry for my lack of awareness. Follow me. Dr."
"It's okay madam" i gave her a smile. She reminds me a lot of mom.
"Oh child. Please don't call me madam. Called me Teresa. I'm just a maid here" she said humbly.
"You are so beautiful child. Do you have a boyfriend or husband perhaps?" She said while ushering me to the place that i don't know where would we go.
At the same time, my eyes lingers in this interior house design. I do fan girling inside. It really suits my taste.
"I don't have someone particular yet.." i'm too busy to work my *** off to pay my useless dad's debt. That's why accept this offer. If i work 2 jobs at the same time, it would at least help me to pay the debt.
"Are you sure? Then how about i match you up with my grandson. He's 12 by the way" she jokes. I laugh and replied back,
"Sure no problem. Tell him i asked his number tho" i winked and this time Teresa laugh.
It's good to have someone to talk too. Then we stopped at a dining hall and i saw him in a black bath robe at the end of the table with food on the table. He looks gorgeous, with his morning messy hair and greek god feature. His stubble makes him look more mature and he screams power i tell you. Any girl would jump into him. My heart skip a beat.
"Sir Alexander. Dr. Sabrina is here" Teresa said.
Then, Mr Alexander turned his face at us then me. He scanned me up and down and motioned me to sit opposite him. His face lit up from seeing me.
"Thank you Teresa" he said short and continue to cut the big breakfast he have on his plate.
Then, a maid came and bring me a full plate of luxury breakfast that i don't think i want to eat cause of course i would prefer to preserve them and tell my future grandkids that this is grandma's first luxury breakfast meal.
"Eat up" he said demand.
"T-thank you Mr Alexa-"
"Just call me Ryder" he said while staring at me.
"I don't think that is appropri-" then i shut up immediately cause that guy gave me a threatening look. O..kayy i shut up now. I shove the thick and juicy bacon into my mouth silently.
This is awkward.
"Btw Mr Ale-Ryder. What occasion you called me early in the morning. Is there any thing that i can help with"
"Ahh\~ about that. I want you to arrange my evening meeting to 10a.m. Teresa will give you the necessity for you to arrange my schedule and tonight we have a formal ceremony that i need to took an oath at the white house. After the 10a.m. meeting is done, we need to find some dress for tonight "
"I'm sorry. I think there is a mistake. I thought that i am your personal doctor, not your personal assistant" i put my cutlery down.
I feel very clueless about this matter. Now i'm his P.A? Where is that guy last time i saw during our meeting before. I thought he is his P.A.
Then, i heard Ryder's cutlery click on the plate. I can feel the tension is thickening and his eyes penetrates through me like an eagle. Then, he grin. He is sure scary as hell.
"Hate to burst your bubble, it's in the contract tho. You're going to be my personal doctor and personal assistant. I think you didn't read the full agreement" His handsome evil smirk face visible on his face.
"You trick me?!"
"I didn't trick you. It's just you didn't read the contract yourself" he intertwined his fingers in-front of his face and look at me in amusement like i am his game.
"You still trick me tho. You said that i'm going to be your personal doctor, not personal assistant" I raise my voice trying to be firm as possible.
"Remember we had a deal Sabrina" he said with his serious tone and on the spot his authority feature makes me shiver on my seat.
I sigh.
"It's not that. I have someone particular on my mind that i need to take care of. It's..important. If i handle two jobs in one time. I can't see that person often" my heart clenched from thinking that would happen to me.
Then i heard a loud bang on the table and i flinched. Some of the maids come panicking to the dining hall. My breathe is uneven.
"Would you care to tell me who's that 'someone particular' of yours" he said in seethed teeth. His angry face is horrific.
"It's-it's C-chloe. She's just a kid. Diagnosed with weak heart" i said.
Then, his expression changed from a terrified person to guilty. His eyes soften and i don't know why he acted possessive towards me?
I really need to see her. She's sure bubbly but at times, i know deep down in her heart she's broken and hurt. I'm the one that can understand her. She is like a little sister to me.
"You don't have anyone to replace on behalf of you?" He asked this time softly and his eyes gaze through me. I don't feel comfortable at all.
"Actually we do have but i really want to see her. She needs me" i said, hoping that we can bargain.
"I need you"
