She kisses him and leaves. William finishes getting ready and goes down to the living room, checks the garden to see if everything's ready, looks at the dinner arrangements, and instructs the house staff before settling in the living room.
Although it wasn't time yet, he was nervous. William stayed in his office while time passed, checking the clock every few minutes. At 7:00 PM sharp, he went back to the living room.
Impatiently, William longed for Helena to ring the doorbell. He waited facing the door. As minutes passed and she didn't arrive, William was losing patience. At 7:30 PM, he didn’t want to wait any longer; surely nothing had happened to her, she wasn't going to show up, she hadn't accepted the invitation. Disappointed, William turned around, about to give up.
As William was turning back to go to his room, the doorbell rang, his body trembling, he approached the door and opened it.
There she was, standing timidly, which only made her all the more beautiful.
Helena was bashful, William just stared at her and forgot all the anger he had felt waiting; she was stunning.
After a few minutes of looking at each other, he broke the ice, making her smile.
William:Who do you think you are, making me wait, Doctor?
Helena:Lol, that's one way to say 'good evening, Helena', so I'll say: good evening to you too, Mr. William.
William:I didn't find it funny, I issued a subpoena and you disobeyed
Helena:I can only imagine how upset you were waiting here; your mood gives it away, lol. Sorry, I really did get held up
William:Your apology better be a good one
Helena:Are you going to leave me at the door?
William:Why didn't you enter, Doctor? Make yourself at home
Helena:Thank you
She enters, laughing at him. William was serious but inwardly smiling too; his arrogance and irony didn't annoy Helena but made her smile instead. He was very arrogant and complainy, and that made her smile.
