Felix drove silently, glancing over at Adele every so often.
She sat still, staring of the window, her expressionless.
He could feel the tension in the air and finally broke the silence.

I'm sorry about that kiss.
*he said quietly, his voice almost regretful*
Adeline/Adele (FL)
*she didn't turn to look at him, but her voice was calm, distant*
Why are you apologizing when you can't even tell me why you did it?
Felix De la Hoyde (ML)
*sighed, gripping the wheel tighter*
I wasn't in my sense. I'm sorry. That's all you need to know.
Adele kept her gaze out the window, silent for a moment.

*Finally, she spoke*
If you get back your senses, I would like to know the reason why. Apology accepted.

*forces his attention back to the road*
The weight of the conversation settling between them.
But just as he focused on the road again.

*suddenly shouted, her voice sharp and full of panic*
Stop the car!

*his grip tightened on the wheel*
No.

*her voice trembled as she begged*
Please... I've listened to you. Can you now listen to me for once?

*hesitated and slowly, he eased the car to stop.*

*opened the door and rushed out, her footsteps fast and frantic*

*stood outside, a few steps away, watching her.*

*she stood still for a moment, staring at something in the distance*
Her eyes widened. Then, without warning, she began to run. Felix's heart raced. Following her.
Adele stopped in her tracks when she saw him–her ex-husband, standing by the entrance of the restaurant.
The sight made her stomach drop, and she froze, emotions coming crash down on her.

*muttering to herself, holding back her tears*
My love?!
But then, a woman walked up to him, smiling.
Bonnie (FL'smom daughter/ Addison's sis)
Baby, you made it.
The woman hugged, Adele's ex-husband.
Bonnie (FL'smom daughter/ Addison's sis)
*then, with a smile, she said*
My mom is here.
Adele's breath caught in her throat. She stared at the woman, confusion and hurt flooding her.
Bonnie pointed toward the restaurant, and Adele's gaze followed.
She could see her mother standing there, a woman she thought she knew. But everything felt wrong, like a puzzle piece that didn't fit.

My mom?
*she whispered to herself*
How... how is she her daughter?
Adele's hands trembled. She felt dizzy. Her thoughts raced, but she couldn't understand what she was seeing.
Her heart raced, and she fought back the tears that threatened to spill over.
Slowly, her legs felt weak, and she walked back to the car.
she climbed inside, sniffling, blinking back the tears, her chest ached as she settled into the seat, not look at Felix.

Drive.
*she whispered through the tears, her voice broken*
please...just drive.

*he didn't say anything. He started the car and pulled away*
Felix pulled the car into his grand mansion driveway.
He had plan with her, but now it felt like the right moment had passed by sudden change of Adele's mood.
Adele didn't say a word as she stepped out of the car, her eyes empty, her shoulders slumped.
she walked slowly to the backyard, stopping by the edge of the pool, staring down into the water.

*tears welled up in her eyes, whispered to herself looking at her broken soul through the surface of water in the pool*
My mother... she...she has replaced me. Did she replaced Axel too?
Felix watched her. He could see the tremor in her hands, the way she struggled to stay standing.

*she lost her balance.*

Adele!
*shouted, his voice panicked*

*he rushed to her, his feet pounding the ground*

*her body splashed into the pool*

*without thinking, he dove in after her, pushing through the cold water.*
His hands found her, pulling her toward him, heart racing.
When he finally reached her.

*was staring up at him, her eyes wide, confused, as if she hadn't realized what had just happened.*

Adele, are you're okay.
*he said, his voice tight, his hands shaking as he held her close*

*she blinked, still in shock, her breath shallow*

*she looked at him, her gaze locking onto his. Her lips parted as if to say something, but nothing came out*

*he whispered, holding her tighter*
