Episode # 3
Adele is at her desk, working diligently on her fashion designs.
Focused on the details, oblivious to the time passing by.
The soft hum of the sewing machines and the occasional sound of fabric rustling fill the room.
Suddenly, the door to the studio opens, and the manger walks in, her heels clicking sharply against the floor.
Linda (The studio manager)
*Calling out*
Adele.
Adele looks up from her work, surprised to see the manager standing at the door.
Adeline/Adele (FL)
*confused*
Oh, hello! What's wrong? Is something the matter?
The Manager's expression is stern. She crosses her arms, looking at Adele with disappointment.
Linda (The studio manager)
Adele, you're fired.
Adele freezes, her face filled with confusion and disbelief.
Adeline/Adele (FL)
*shocked*
What? Why? What did I do wrong? The show is next week, right?
The Manager's face hardens.
Linda (The studio manager)
*coldly*
Wrong, Adele. The show was this morning. You missed it. While you were off doing... whatever you were doing, we failed. You colleagues have been talking about it all afternoon.
Adele's eyes widen as she looks around. Her co-workers are standing nearby, whispering and laughing quietly.
Some of them glance at her with smug expressions, while others avoid her gaze entirely.
Adeline/Adele (FL)
*stammering*
But...but they told me the show was next week... they said I had more time...
One of her co-workers, a young woman named Rosella, chuckles under her breath.
Rosella
*mocking*
Guess you trusted the wrong people,huh?
Adele's heart sinks as she slowly starts to piece together the truth.
She looks around, feeling a wave of humiliation wash over her. She begins to gather her things, her hands trembling slightly as she packs up her designs.
Adeline/Adele (FL)
*softly to herself*
I can't believe this...
She holds back tears, trying to maintain her composure. The sound of laughter from the other side of the room only makes her feel smaller, but she continues to pack her things quietly, knowing that her dreams have just been shattered.
She walks towards the door, her head down, and her shoulders slumped.
The room,once filled with excitement and creativity, now feels cold and empty.
The sound of water running fills the small bathroom,but it does little to drown out the noise in Adele's mind.
I'm sitting here, but I don't feel like I'm really sitting. My body is here, in this cold, empty apartment.
But my heart...my heart feels so far away. Far from the dreams I used to have. Far from who I thought I could be. Where did it all go wrong?

*she wipes her eyes, her hand trembling,but there's no stopping the tears that fall.*

*she wrapped her arms around her knees trying to steady herself but there was no use, the sobs comes in harsh and uncomfortably.*
I lost my job. My rent is due,but it's a joke to think I could ever make it. I can't even buy myself things I need, let alone the things I want.
My name...my name is Adeline. It used to mean something to me. It was supposed to mean something. But now? I'm just a cruel reminder of everything I can't do. Everyone can't be.
I watch the people I love,the ones I used to be so close to, living their lives like I was never even there.
They don't need me. They've all moved on. They don't even know the weight of what I'm carrying. They don't know How much I wanted to make it. how much I needed to make it.
Adeline/Adele (FL)
*she closes her eyes, tears blurring her vision, but it's enough to stop the overwhelming feeling of failure that has taken over her soul.*
I've been trying to survive. To fight. But I can't. I'm running on empty, and every step feels heavier than the last.
I'm tired. I'm exhausted. I just wanted one chance...but I guess chances don't wait for people like me.
I don't even know who I am anymore. Just a walking corpse waiting for the world to forget I ever existed. Maybe it already has.

*she let out a shaky breath,,and for a moment the sound of her sobs is the only thing she can hear.*
