After putting Felicia to bed, Felix walked down the stairs slowly, footsteps echoing in the quiet mansion.
The kitchen lights were dimmed, and the table was still set with dinner they were eating before Felicia fell asleep eating.
There' at the end of the table, sat Adele, still eating, though her gaze was fixed downward.
The knife in her hand was held tightly, almost as if she were ready to strike.
Felix sat down across from her, his eyes never leaving her face. She shifted uncomfortably, her fingers tightening around the knife.

*he smirked, sensing her tension*
Did you like your bedroom?
*he asked, his voice low, teasing*
Adeline/Adele (FL)
*glanced at him for a moment before responding, her voice steady but laced with defiance*

*laughed, the sound dark and mocking*
The way people are always after my badass kicks? I don't think I'll be going to prison anytime soon.

*he muttered, his gaze drifting down to the knife in her hand. He couldn't help but smile*
Are you a fighter or lover?

*she looked up at him, her expression sharp*
I'm both.
*she replied, her voice firm*
it depends... right now, I think I'll be a fighter.

*his smirk deepened, amused by her response*

*she hestiated, her hands suddenly still. She looked down, a flicker of emotion passing over her face before she regained control*

*she said, her voice almost breaking. She forced a smile that didn't reach her eyes*

*watched her closely, noticing the sadness she tried to hide behind a facade of strength.*

*she took a slow bite of her food, her fingers still gripping the knife*
There was a moment of silence between them. Felix's eyes were sharp, studying her, knowing there was more to her story than she let on. But for now, he said nothing, letting the silence stretch on.
Adele, meanwhile, sat with her back straight, her walls firmly in place once again, thought Felix could see the cracks.
As he stood by the window, dressed gazing out at the city below.
His mind raced through plans, but his attention was drawn when the door opened behind him.
Mark walked in, his footsteps soft on the carpet.

Is she awake?
*he asked, his voice low, still focused on the view outside*
Mark (ML's bestie)
*shook his head*
No, not yet.

*he turned slightly, his gaze sharp*
Everything at the company is fine?
Mark (ML's bestie)
Yeah, everything's smooth. If there's any trouble, I'll let you know.
*he replied, nodding*

*his eyes flickered back to the window*
Look after Felicia while I'm gone.
*he said firmly before heading for the door*

*he gave a quick salute*

*he gave a short nod and walked out.*
Making his way to Adele's room.
He pushed open the door and stepped in, his eyes scanning the room before landing on the bed where Adele lay, snoring lightly, her disheveled hair on her face.

* a smirk crossed his face as he muttered to himself*

*He walked over and nudged her, gently, his hand on her shoulder.*
Wake up.
*he said, his tone commanding*
Adeline/Adele (FL)
*stirred, her eyes fluttering open, and she stretched, yawning loudly*
What?
*she mumbled, clearly still Half-asleep.*

*crossed his arms, watching her with an almost amused look*
Get up and get ready. We need to go.
Adeline/Adele (FL)
*blinked, still confused*
What? Where? Are you shifting me to another place?
Felix De la Hoyde (ML)
No. You'll see. Now, get up and look pretty.
Adeline/Adele (FL)
*groaned, rubbing her eyes*
Look pretty? Really? What's the occasion, huh?

Just get ready, and don't waste time. I'm not here to babysit you.
Adeline/Adele (FL)
*sat up slowly, grumbling*
You know, you really need to work on your manners. 'Get ready and look pretty', who says that?

*shrugged, unfazed*
I do. Now hurry up.
