Sunlight filters through the large windows, casting soft rays across the room.
Felix enters his daughter's room, his steps silent as he looks at her sleeping peacefully, her small form curled up under the covers, snoring gently.

Hey, princess. The sun has risen. Wake up, sleeping beauty.
His daughter stirs, her eyes slowly fluttering open. She yawns and stretches.

Morning, princess. I need you to get up and get ready.

We'll see your teacher later, princess. For now, get ready. Daddy's getting late for work.
Felix calls out to her from downstairs.

He walks into the dinning room to find her practicing karate moves, her face full of concentration.

Princess, please. This is not the time for karate. Go eat your cookies.

A minute, daddy! I want to learn how to fight.

Princess, If you don't eat, I won't take you to see your teacher or I won't see your teacher.
She immediately stops, her eyes wide with concern.
she hurries to the table, and sits down, grabbing a cookie and milk, looking at Felix with a pout.

Felix is driving his car, his daughter in the back seat.

*his hands tight on the wheel, trying to focus, but his patience thinning*

*brightening up a little, tilting her head*
Oh, okay, daddy.
Felix sighs softly, trying to manage the whirlwind of emotions.

Adele walks through the aisles of the smal grocery store, her movements slow, almost mechanical.
She's dressed in plain clothes,no glamour, no attention grabbing fashion.
She just another face among many. Her makeup, though once flawless, is now little smudged, like she's been wiping away the weight of last night with the back of her hand. Her eyes are tired, empty.
She hears the conversation behind her, voices rising from a small group of women nearby.

*whispering, looking in Adele's direction*
She looks familiar, doesn't she?

*nodding, squinting*
Yeah...she looks like... Adeline.
woman ³
*laughing dismissively*
I don't think it's her. Maybe she's just a look alike.
Woman ¹
*with a soft snicker*
That washed up model, right? Who even thinks about her anymore?

*shrugging, indifferent*
The world forgot about her the moment she got married. She's probably just someone else now, blending in with the rest of us.
Adele freezes, her breathing catching in her throat. The words hit her like a slap, each syllable cutting deeper than the last.
She stands there for a moment, trying to steady herself, the weight of their words sinking in.
She had been Adeline once–the model, miss world. The name that had graced billboards, magazines, and the pages of history.
But now? Now, she was just a ghost, a forgotten face lost in the noise of a world that moved on without her.
