TAEHYUNG
(Sat beside Jungkook’s bed, holding his hand)
As the doctor slowly unwrapped the bandages
JUNGKOOK
(Breath was shaky) Taehyung?
TAEHYUNG
I’m here, love( whispered)
JUNGKOOK
(Eyes blinked rapidly, adjusting to the light)
At first, everything was blurry
His gaze focused.
Right in front of him
Brown, soulful eyes. Beautiful features. A worried expression
TAEHYUNG
(Breath hitched) Can you see me?
JUNGKOOK
(Eyes filled with tears)
JUNGKOOK
(Lifted a shaky hand, cupping Taehyung’s face)
JUNGKOOK
You’re… you’re beautiful (whispered, a tear slipping down his cheek)
TAEHYUNG
(Laughed softly, his own eyes misty) You’re the beautiful one, love
JUNGKOOK
(Let out a choked laugh, pulling Taehyung into a desperate hug)
And the first thing he saw…
Was the man who loved him more than anything in this world
Jungkook woke up the next morning, blinking at the sunlight streaming through the large windows of Taehyung’s penthouse
Everything looked so bright. So new

(Hands trembled as he reached for the bedside table, tracing his fingers over the glass surface)
JUNGKOOK
(Turned his head, his gaze landing on the man sleeping beside him)
Jungkook had imagined what Taehyung might look like.
Reality was so much more beautiful.
Taehyung’s lashes were long, casting soft shadows on his cheeks. His lips were slightly parted, his breathing steady
TAEHYUNG
(His hand was still loosely wrapped around Jungkook’s wrist, as if afraid Jungkook would disappear in the night)
JUNGKOOK
(Smiled) Taehyung-ah(whispered)
TAEHYUNG
(Groaned softly, his brows furrowing) Mmm… five more minutes
JUNGKOOK
(Giggled. He reached out, brushing Taehyung’s messy brown hair away from his face)
JUNGKOOK
Taehyung, wake up. I want to see you
TAEHYUNG
(Eyes fluttered open. His gaze met Jungkook’s, still sleepy but filled with warmth)
TAEHYUNG
Jungkook, are you—?
JUNGKOOK
"I can see you, Taehyung. Clearly.
TAEHYUNG
(Lips parted in shock. His eyes filled with emotion as he sat up, cupping Jungkook’s face)
JUNGKOOK
(Let out a breathless laugh) Like I’ve been reborn.
TAEHYUNG
(Laughed too, but his eyes were wet)
JUNGKOOK
(Leaned forward, pressing a soft, lingering kiss against Taehyung’s lips)
TAEHYUNG
(Melted into the kiss, his hand cradling the back of Jungkook’s head)
JUNGKOOK
You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen
TAEHYUNG
(Let out a shaky laugh, burying his face in Jungkook’s shoulder) You’re going to kill me Jungkook
JUNGKOOK
(Smiled) Then I’ll bring you back to life. Every day. Just like you did for me
