That night, Jungkook played something different
The melody was raw, almost vulnerable
TAEHYUNG
(Sipping his coffee, listened intently. He didn’t know what Jungkook was feeling, but he could hear it)
TAEHYUNG
(Stood up and walked over to the piano)
JUNGKOOK
(Tensed when he felt Taehyung near)
TAEHYUNG
(Reached out gently, carefully—and touched Jungkook’s wrist)
Taehyung was touching him.
No one touched him like this
Just… warmth.
And for the first time, Jungkook didn’t pull away.
Jungkook had never trusted people easily
His whole life, everyone wanted something—his talent, his fame, his wealth
Taehyung never asked for anything
Because the more Taehyung came to the café, the more Jungkook waited for him
And the more Taehyung touched him—a soft graze of fingers, a lingering presence by his side—the more Jungkook ached.

One night, Jungkook played longer than usual

(Sat in his usual seat, sipping coffee, his gaze never leaving Jungkook)
It was closing time, and yet—Taehyung didn’t leave
JUNGKOOK
You’re staying late today ( murmured, closing the piano lid)
TAEHYUNG
(Smirked) I could say the same about you
JUNGKOOK
(Chuckled softly, but there was something uncertain in his voice)
JUNGKOOK
Why do you keep coming here?
TAEHYUNG
(Exhaled, tilting his head) Do you want me to stop?
JUNGKOOK
(Fingers curled) That’s not what I asked
For a moment, silence stretched between them

Because I like the way you play
But it wasn’t a lie either.
JUNGKOOK
(Swallowed) Is that all?
JUNGKOOK
💭 Why was i asking? Why did i want to know?
TAEHYUNG
(Leaned in slightly, voice softer) No
And for the first time, he realized—he trusted Taehyung’s presence.
Even if it scared him
The next day, Jungkook’s uncle confronted him again

You think I don’t notice?( voice was sharp) You’re getting too close to that man
JUNGKOOK
(Clenched his jaw) He’s just a customer
Jungkook 's uncle
Don’t be stupid, Jungkook. He’s a businessman. People like him—
JUNGKOOK

Jungkook 's uncle
(Hesitated) They don’t stay
JUNGKOOK
