That night, after the café closed, Jungkook hesitated
His uncle’s words echoed in his mind
"Men like him don’t stay."
But… Taehyung had stayed.
Even when he had no reason to.
And for the first time, Jungkook allowed himself to wonder
Jungkook didn’t know why he agreed
Maybe it was because of the way Taehyung asked—his voice deep, steady, and so certain.
No explanation. No hesitation
And despite every fear screaming at him to be careful—Jungkook followed
Now, they stood outside, the cool air wrapping around them
JUNGKOOK
Where are we going? ( gripping his Blind cane)
TAEHYUNG
(Warm hand ghosted over his wrist before pulling away)
JUNGKOOK
(Huffed) You know I won’t, right?
The sound sending warmth through Jungkook’s chest
TAEHYUNG
Then you’ll feel it
Taehyung guided Jungkook carefully. No rush, no force
Jungkook could hear the difference in the air—open, quiet, peaceful
And then, something unexpected
JUNGKOOK
(Inhaled sharply) The ocean?
JUNGKOOK
(Swallowed) I haven’t been near the ocean in years
TAEHYUNG
(Watched him carefully)
JUNGKOOK
(Fingers curled slightly, reaching out—not knowing what for)
TAEHYUNG
(Hesitated for only a second before taking his hand)
JUNGKOOK
(Didn’t pull away)
Taehyung’s fingers were warm. Steady
JUNGKOOK
(Exhaled, relaxing slightly as Taehyung led him closer)
JUNGKOOK
What does it look like ?
TAEHYUNG
It looks… endless. Like the world disappears into it. Like it can hold anything
JUNGKOOK
(Smiled faintly) That sounds beautiful
But he wasn’t looking at the ocean
For a while, they just stood there. No words. Just the waves and the wind
TAEHYUNG
You asked me once if I was going to leave
TAEHYUNG
(Turned slightly, facing him fully)
TAEHYUNG
I need you to believe me this time
TAEHYUNG
(Gently squeezed his hand)
And in a voice so steady, so sure, he said
TAEHYUNG
I’m not going anywhere
His whole life, he had only ever heard lies
Taehyung had never lied to him
