IN YOUR EYES - 17 (´∩｡• ᵕ •｡∩`)
With his uncle gone, Jungkook finally felt free
But there was still one thing missing.
One night, Taehyung sat beside Jungkook on the balcony, holding his hand
TAEHYUNG
What if I told you… there’s a chance you could see again? (asked carefully)
JUNGKOOK
(Breath hitched) What?
TAEHYUNG
I found a doctor. A world-class surgeon. He thinks there’s a high chance of success if you undergo surgery
JUNGKOOK
(Heart raced) And you didn’t tell me sooner?
TAEHYUNG
(Chuckled softly) I wanted to be sure
JUNGKOOK
(Bit his lip) Taehyung… what if it doesn’t work?
TAEHYUNG
(Squeezed his hand) Then I’ll still love you just the same
He didn’t deserve this man
JUNGKOOK
(Reached out, touching Taehyung’s face, tracing his fingers along his jawline)
JUNGKOOK
If I see again, ( whispered) you’ll be the first thing I want to look at
TAEHYUNG
(Smiled) Then let’s make it happen, love
Jungkook lay in the hospital bed, his heart pounding as the doctor prepped him for surgery
TAEHYUNG
(Held his hand tightly) Are you scared?
TAEHYUNG
(Leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Jungkook’s forehead) No matter what happens, I’m here. I’ll be the first thing you see. I promise.
JUNGKOOK
(Fingers trembled as he gripped Taehyung’s hand) Then I'll be brave
TAEHYUNG
(Smiled) That’s my love
As the anesthesia kicked in, the last thing Jungkook heard was Taehyung’s voice
Taehyung was Waiting for Jungkook’s surgery to end
This was the hardest battle of his life
His hands were clenched into fists, his heart racing every time the hospital doors opened.
Finally, the doctor stepped out
The doctor smiled. "The surgery was successful"
TAEHYUNG
(Exhaled sharply, his whole body relaxing)
TAEHYUNG
When can he see?( voice shaky)
"The bandages will be removed in a few days," the doctor explained. "He’ll need time to adjust, but his vision should return gradually."
Taehyung 's Eyes burned Jungkook would see again
And the first thing he would see…
