The sky opened up, rain pouring heavily over Seoul
TAEHYUNG
(dressed in a sharp black suit)
Taehyung stepped out of the luxury restaurant after his boring business dinner. He loosened his tie, frustrated.
TAEHYUNG
Another night wasted
TAEHYUNG
(Walked to his car)
As he walked to his car, something stopped him
A piano, soft yet filled with so much emotion that it sent shivers down his spine. The sound wasn’t coming from a concert hall or a fancy event
It was coming from a small café across the street
TAEHYUNG
(Walked towards the entrance. Through the glass)
Taehyung Saw a young man sitting at the piano
The boy had dark hair, delicate features, and eyes that stared into nothingness
TAEHYUNG
(Frowned ) Is he blind?
TAEHYUNG
(Stepped inside, drawn to the music, taking a seat in the corner)
JUNGKOOK
(Finished his piece, his fingers resting on the keys. He turned his head slightly)
TAEHYUNG
(Hesitated before answering) Someone who was passing by
JUNGKOOK
(Smiled faintly) Did you like the music?
TAEHYUNG
(Leaned forward, watching him) It was… beautiful
JUNGKOOK
(Chuckled) Most people just say ‘nice’ or ‘good’. You must have really listened.
Taehyung didn’t know why, but he found himself speaking honestly
JUNGKOOK
Then you must be different (murmured ) Everyone who comes here just wants something from me. But you… you just listened
For the first time in years, Taehyung felt something stir inside him
TAEHYUNG
What’s your name?
JUNGKOOK
Jungkook. And you?
JUNGKOOK
Nice to meet you, Taehyung-ssi
The rain had stopped, but the memory of that night stayed with Taehyung. He couldn’t forget the way Jungkook played the piano, how the music felt like it carried all the emotions Taehyung himself couldn’t express
And then, there was Jungkook himself
A blind pianist, yet he saw the world more beautifully than anyone Taehyung had ever met.
Taehyung wanted to see someone again
