Lily had exactly two goals in life now:
Make sure Raphael and Gabriel fell in love.
Avoid getting dragged into a mafia harem.
Unfortunately, the second goal was proving very difficult.
Sebastian clearly enjoyed making her uncomfortable. He was still smirking at her, looking way too amused by her suffering. Nathan, on the other hand, looked like he was one second away from throwing him off the building.
Lily sighed dramatically. "Alright, Sebastian, let’s clear this up. You hate me, remember?"
Sebastian raised an eyebrow. "Hate is a strong word."
"You tried to get me arrested twice!"
"And yet, you’re still here," he said, giving her a slow once-over. "Interesting, isn’t it?"
Lily’s brain short-circuited.
Nathan’s eye twitched. "Miss Vanessa, we are leaving."
Sebastian chuckled. "Oh? Is your bodyguard afraid I’ll steal you away?"
Lily groaned. "NO ONE IS STEALING ME. I AM NOT A PRIZE!"
"Debatable," Sebastian muttered.
Nathan actually looked ready to fight. "Try anything, and I will break your legs."
Sebastian smirked. "Careful, bodyguard. You’re starting to sound jealous."
Nathan stiffened. "I—"
Lily panicked. "OKAY, NO. We are NOT doing this!" She spun toward Sebastian. "Listen, Mr. ‘I Have Too Much Money and No Life,’ I am busy trying to fix Raphael and Gabriel’s relationship. I don’t have time for your rich-boy mind games!"
Sebastian hummed. "And yet, somehow, you always end up in the middle of the chaos."
Lily hated that he had a point.
She took a deep breath. "Fine. If you must be here, at least do something useful. Help me get them together!"
Sebastian actually laughed. "Why would I do that?"
Lily groaned. "Because I am tired, Sebastian. I want them to live happily ever after. And more importantly, I want to retire from all this mafia drama before I accidentally collect a fourth love interest!"
Sebastian smirked. "Hmm. Tempting. But…" He stepped closer, lowering his voice. "What if I prefer keeping you right where you are?"
Lily screamed internally.
Nathan actually growled. "Touch her, and you lose a hand."
Lily grabbed Nathan and started dragging him away. "Okay, we are done here!"
Sebastian chuckled behind her. "See you soon, Vanessa."
Lily groaned. "I hate my life."
Nathan muttered under his breath, "So do I."
