Pheonix encounters Kai

Phoenix, wearing a mask, hurries to open the door and make a quick exit.

But as he bursts through the doorway, he collides with a hard chest, stumbling backward.

Zhi gazes out at the empty stage, a look of appreciation on his face.

zhi

"Man, that was an incredible performance. Phoenix is seriously talented."

Zhi turns to Kai, expecting him to be standing beside him.

zhi

"I know you're not into dance, but even you have to admit, that was impressive."

Zhi waits for Kai's response, but there's only silence, he turns to his side, realizing Kai is no longer there.

Kai

(Reach out to steady Phoenix, his fingers wrapping around Phoenix's upper arms.)

Kai

(Eyes narrow slightly, his gaze piercing through the mask)

Pheonix/ming

(Eyes widen in surprise, his face flushing with embarrassment.)

Phoenix tries to step back, but Kai's grip holds him in place.

Kai

( voice is low and even, "You're in a hurry."

Phoenix's eyes dart back and forth, his chest heaving with rapid breaths.

Pheonix/ming

(voice is muffled by the mask), "I... I'm just running late."

Kai's eyes seem to bore into Phoenix's soul, making him feel exposed and vulnerable.

Kai

(Takes a step closer to Phoenix, his eyes fixed on the mask)

Kai's head tilts slightly, his nose inches from Phoenix's neck.

Kai

(Inhales deeply, his eyes fluttering closed as he takes in Phoenix's scent)

Pheonix/ming

(Eyes widen in alarm as Kai's face brushes against his neck)

A shiver runs down Phoenix's spine as Kai's warm breath caresses his skin.

Phoenix's heart racing, he tries to step back, but Kai's grip on his arms holds him in place.

Kai's eyes snap open, his gaze piercing through the mask.

Kai

(voice is low and husky), "You smell... familiar."

Phoenix's eyes dart back and forth, his mind racing with panic.

Pheonix/ming

(Phoenix's voice is barely above a whisper),"I... I don't know what you're talking about."

Phoenix quickly breaks free from Kai's grip and makes a run for it.

Phoenix's feet pound the floor as he dashes down the hallway.

But before he can get far, Kai's voice rings out, stopping him in his tracks.

Kai

(Kai's voice is low and smooth, but with an undercurrent of authority), "Where are you running, Ming?"




