The first day of college had been of introductions and new faces.

Ming and Rui's ears perked up, and they himself leaned in with curiosity as a group of students nearby began to talk about Kai in hushed tones.

"Kai is a senior medicine student, he's a genius," I heard "he Got a full scholarship to study medicine."

"No way, I heard his family is super rich. His dad owns the largest hospital group in states"

He is the captain of soccer team, and he is an amazing player.

Just then, one of the students glanced over at Ming and raised an eyebrow.

"You're new here, right?" he asked. "Well, let me tell you - Kai's not someone to be messed with. He's got a reputation."

"He never talks to anyone. He's always so distant, like he's not even interested in being here."

I know, right?", "And have you seen the way he looks at people? It's like he's staring right through them."

I'm scared of him, to be honest. He has this... dark aura around him. Like, I don't know, it's just unsettling.

"He just ignores people like, they are not even worth his time."

There is a rumor that he beat up people single-handedly and sent them to hospital for months. He takes on anyone who dared to cross him.

Kai sounded like a mysterious and intimidating figure, someone who commanded respect through fear rather than friendship.

As Ming walked alongside Rui, Ming couldn't shake off thoughts about kai.
