The day started perfectly for Jungkook. The cabin’s cozy warmth, the lingering scent of pine and cinnamon, and the memory of Taehyung’s heartfelt confession made his heart flutter. But that serene bubble was shattered when he overheard a conversation he was never meant to hear.
Jungkook had been heading towards the kitchen to grab a snack when he heard Hoseok’s voice.

So, what’s the deal with you and Jungkook?
Taehyung chuckled softly.
Kim Taehyung
He’s adorable. I really enjoy spending time with him.
Jungkook paused behind the door, his chest tightening.

But… I don’t want to rush things. I don’t know if he feels the same, and I’d rather have him as a friend than risk losing him!
Taehyung replied, his tone contemplative.

By evening, Jungkook found himself outside, sitting on the snowy porch, trying to sort through his jumbled thoughts.
Taehyung’s deep voice called gently from behind.
Startled, Jungkook turned to find Taehyung standing there, bundled in a thick coat, his expression soft but concerned.

Taehyung asked, stepping closer.
Jungkook hesitated, biting his lip.

Yeah… I just needed some air.
Taehyung frowned, clearly unconvinced.

You’ve been avoiding me all day. Did I do something wrong?
Jungkook shook his head quickly.
Jeon Jungkook
No! It’s not that. I just…
He trailed off, unsure how to express what he was feeling.
Taehyung crouched in front of him, their faces level.

Jungkook, please talk to me. Whatever it is, I want to fix it.
Looking into Taehyung’s earnest eyes, Jungkook felt his defenses crumble.

I heard you talking to Hoseok hyung earlier!
Taehyung blinked, confused.
Jeon Jungkook
You said you’d rather have me as a friend!
Jungkook blurted, his voice trembling.

I thought… I thought you liked me.
Realization dawned on Taehyung’s face, followed by a soft chuckle.

he murmured, reaching out to take the omega’s cold hands in his warm ones.

Jungkook glanced up hesitantly, his doe eyes wide and uncertain.

Jungkook’s breath hitched as Taehyung stood, tugging him up gently.

Taehyung led Jungkook to the clearing behind the cabin. The night sky stretched above them, stars twinkling like diamonds. Jungkook gasped as he took in the sight: a path of glowing fairy lights strung through the trees, leading to a clearing where a large heart had been carved into the snow, its edges lined with lights.
Jungkook whispered, his eyes glistening.
Taehyung turned to face him, his gaze soft yet serious.

Taking a step closer, Taehyung cupped Jungkook’s cheek, his thumb brushing away a stray tear.

Jungkook stared at him, his heart pounding.

Taehyung laughed, the sound rich and warm.

As the snow continued to fall, Taehyung leaned in slowly, giving Jungkook enough time to pull away if he wanted to. But Jungkook stayed still, his eyes fluttering shut as their lips met in a soft, tentative kiss.
When they pulled apart, Jungkook’s pouty smile melted Taehyung’s heart.
Jungkook whispered, his voice barely audible.
Taehyung asked, his brows raising in amusement.
Jungkook nodded, his grin widening.

Taehyung laughed again, wrapping Jungkook in a warm embrace as the fairy lights glowed around them. For the first time, everything felt just right.
