Episode 13
The smell of pine and cinnamon filled Jungkook’s cozy apartment as Taehyung stepped inside, his eyes lighting up at the sight of boxes piled high with Christmas decorations.
Kim Taehyung
This is going to be fun.
Taehyung said, rubbing his hands together with excitement.
Jungkook raised an eyebrow.
Jeon Jungkook
Fun for you, maybe. I’m not exactly great at decorating.
Kim Taehyung
That’s what I’m here for!
Kim Taehyung
Taehyung grinned, already rummaging through the boxes. He pulled out a garland of twinkling lights, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Jungkook crossed his arms, watching as Taehyung started unravelling the lights.
Jeon Jungkook
Just don’t make a mess.
Kim Taehyung
I’m a professional.
Within minutes, chaos ensued.
Jeon Jungkook
Wait, no! Not there!
Jungkook yelped as Taehyung tried to drape the lights over the bookshelf.
Jeon Jungkook
It’s supposed to go on the tree!
Taehyung turned to him, the string of lights tangled around his arm like a shiny snake.
Kim Taehyung
Relax, bunny. I’m just testing it.
Jungkook huffed his hands on his hips.
Jeon Jungkook
You’re worse than a kid, you know that?
Taehyung smirked, stepping closer.
Kim Taehyung
And you’re too cute when you’re bossy.
Jungkook’s cheeks flushed pink, and he turned away, muttering under his breath.
Jeon Jungkook
Whatever, just help me with the ornaments.
The two worked together to hang ornaments on the Christmas tree, though Taehyung’s idea of “helping” involved more teasing than actual work.
Kim Taehyung
Why are all your ornaments so small?
Taehyung asked, holding up a tiny snowman.
Jeon Jungkook
Because they’re adorable.
Jungkook replied, carefully placing a star-shaped ornament on a branch.
Taehyung chuckled, leaning down to whisper.
Kim Taehyung
Not as adorable as you.
Jungkook nearly dropped the ornament, his face turning bright red.
Jeon Jungkook
Stop saying things like that! 😳
Taehyung teased, his grin widening.
Jeon Jungkook
Because it’s distracting!
Jungkook shot back, avoiding Taehyung’s gaze.
The real disaster struck when Taehyung decided to adjust the tree’s position.
Kim Taehyung
It’s leaning a little.
he said, pushing the tree slightly to the left.
Jeon Jungkook
It’s fine where it is.
Jungkook protested, but Taehyung didn’t listen.
The tree wobbled dangerously before tipping over completely, ornaments scattering across the floor.
Jungkook exclaimed, his hands flying to his head.
Taehyung froze, staring at the fallen tree.
Jungkook glared at him, though his lips twitched as if he was fighting back a smile.
Jeon Jungkook
You’re impossible.
Taehyung scratched the back of his neck, looking sheepish.
Kim Taehyung
I’ll fix it, I promise.
As they worked together to right the tree, their laughter filled the room. Taehyung made exaggerated apologies, earning a reluctant giggle from Jungkook.
Jeon Jungkook
Okay, maybe this isn’t so bad.
Jungkook admitted as they finally got the tree standing again.
Taehyung smiled, handing him an ornament.
Kim Taehyung
See? Decorating is fun.
Jungkook rolled his eyes but smiled back.
Jeon Jungkook
Only because you’re here to make a mess.
Kim Taehyung
Guilty as charged.
Taehyung said, leaning in closer.
For a moment, their eyes met, the playful atmosphere shifting to something softer. Jungkook felt his heart skip a beat but quickly looked away, focusing on the tree.
By the time they finished, the apartment glowed with warm, festive light.
Taehyung said, admiring their work.
Jeon Jungkook
Not bad at all!
Jungkook agreed, a small smile playing on his lips.
Taehyung turned to him, his gaze fond.
Kim Taehyung
See? I told you we’d make a good team.
Jungkook blushed, brushing a strand of hair from his face.
Jeon Jungkook
Yeah, yeah. Don’t get cocky.
But as they stood there, basking in the glow of their shared accomplishment, Jungkook couldn’t help but feel a little more at ease around the charming alpha who had somehow made decorating his apartment one of the happiest moments of his Christmas season.
