In the guest room, Jungkook lay on the bed, a small smile playing on his lips. The warmth of the Kim family’s welcome had eased his nerves, and he felt a growing sense of belonging.

As the soft glow of the evening lights filled the Kim mansion, Taehyung gently knocked on the guest room door.

Jungkook sat up immediately, his doe eyes blinking sleepily, his cheeks flushed from the short nap.

Jungkook rubbed his eyes and nodded.

Taehyung chuckled softly and extended his hand.

Come on, my beautiful bride. It’s time for the evening ritual. You’ll do great.

Jungkook’s heart fluttered at the words “my beautiful bride,” but he shyly slipped his small hand into Taehyung’s larger one. The warmth of Taehyung’s palm calmed his nerves a little as they walked toward the main hall together.

The hall had been beautifully decorated with soft lanterns, floral arrangements, and a long table filled with traditional dishes for the post-ritual dinner. The family members were already gathered, buzzing with excitement.

Look who’s here! (Taehyung’s younger sister, exclaimed, rushing over with a mischievous grin)

Taehyung wrapped a protective arm around Jungkook’s waist, pulling him closer.

Yah, stop it. He’s mine. (he said with a playful glare, making Jungkook’s face even redder)

Mrs. Kim clapped her hands gently to get everyone’s attention.

Alright, let’s begin the ritual. It’s a simple tradition to bless the couple with happiness and prosperity.

Taehyung and Jungkook were guided to sit on soft cushions placed in front of a ceremonial table. They were to perform a “pyebaek” a traditional Korean wedding ritual where the couple bows deeply to the elders, offering respect and receiving blessings in return.

Jungkook fumbled a little with the traditional attire he had changed into, his nervousness showing through his trembling hands. Taehyung noticed and reached over to squeeze his hand gently, whispering.

You’re doing great, Jungkook-ah.

Following the family’s guidance, they bowed together to Taehyung’s parents and grandparents. Mrs. Kim and Mr. Kim showered them with warm wishes, while Grandma Kim added with a teasing grin.

Jungkook’s face turned crimson at the remark, his wide eyes darting to Taehyung, who only chuckled softly, enjoying his bride’s adorable flustered expression.

After the ritual, it was time for the ju—a symbolic drink shared between the newlyweds. Taehyung held the small cup up to Jungkook’s lips with a fond smile.

Jungkook pouted slightly but obediently sipped, his heart racing as Taehyung’s fingers brushed against his lips.

The family clapped and cheered as the ritual concluded.

Everyone gathered around the long dining table for dinner. The food looked delicious steaming bowls of rice, vibrant side dishes, grilled meats, and traditional Korean delicacies.

Jungkook sat beside Taehyung, trying to shrink into his seat as the teasing continued.

After dinner, as the family continued chatting and laughing, Taehyung leaned closer to Jungkook, his voice soft and full of warmth.

Jungkook’s heart swelled with happiness as he nodded, his earlier fears forgotten.
