The next morning, the Kim family car pulled up in front of the Jeon household.
Taehyung stepped out, dressed impeccably in a dark suit, his sharp features glowing under the morning sun.
Jungkook, peeking through the curtains of his room, felt his heart race.

(Giggling looking from the curtains)
The alpha always looked so composed, so… handsome.

Jungkook, come on! Don’t keep him waiting. (his mother called, adjusting her scarf as she glanced at her son)

Coming! (Jungkook yelled, fumbling nervously with the buttons on his sweater before bounding down the stairs)
When he stepped outside, Taehyung’s gaze immediately softened.
The omega looked endearing in his oversized beige sweater and snug jeans, the sleeves of the sweater slightly too long and covering his hands.

Good morning! (Taehyung greeted with a slight bow, his deep voice making Jungkook’s cheeks tint pink)

G-good morning! 😳 (Jungkook replied, voice barely above a whisper)
The ride to the shopping district was quiet, with Jungkook stealing glances at Taehyung.
Each time their eyes met, Jungkook quickly looked away, his cheeks burning.

Are you always this shy? (Taehyung asked teasingly, breaking the silence)

N-no, I’m not! 💓 (Jungkook protested, though the blush on his face said otherwise)

The boutique they entered was grand and filled with rows of colorful traditional outfits.
Jungkook’s eyes widened in awe, and he instinctively clung to Taehyung’s sleeve as they walked in.

After much coaxing from Taehyung and the attendant, Jungkook finally agreed to try on a pale pink and ivory hanbok.
When he stepped out of the dressing room, Taehyung froze.
The omega looked ethereal, the soft hues of the outfit complementing his delicate features.
Jungkook nervously played with the sash around his waist, avoiding Taehyung’s gaze.

Do I look okay? (Jungkook asked, his voice barely above a whisper)

You look perfect. 💓 (Taehyung said without hesitation, his deep voice warm)
Jungkook’s cheeks flushed bright red.

D-don’t say that! 😳 (he stuttered, fiddling with the fabric of his sleeves)

Why not? It’s the truth. (Taehyung said with a small smile, stepping closer)

Jungkook’s heart pounded in his chest, and he glanced down, too shy to respond.
Taehyung then tried on a navy and gold hanbok, looking regal and confident as he stepped out of the fitting room.
Jungkook couldn’t help but stare, his mouth slightly agape.

Do I look okay? (Taehyung asked, mimicking Jungkook’s earlier question with a teasing grin)

You… you look amazing. 😳 (says shyly and looked down)
Taehyung chuckled, ruffling Jungkook’s hair.

Jungkook’s face burned at the pet name, and he turned away, pretending to look at another outfit.
By the time they left the boutique, the two had their engagement outfits ready.
Jungkook clutched the bag with his hanbok close to his chest, still replaying Taehyung’s compliments in his mind.
And selection of rings will be done by the Jeon and Kim couple.
In the car ride back, Taehyung glanced at the omega, who was gazing out the window with a small smile.

For the rest of the ride, Jungkook quietly smiled to himself, feeling a little less nervous about the engagement and a little more excited about the alpha beside him.
Initially, Jk felt an overwhelming sense of nervousness about the upcoming engagement shopping.
He kept asking his parents to accompany him, seeking their reassurance and support during this significant milestone.
However, Jeon and Kim, the couple's parents, had decided that it was essential for the soon-to-be engaged couple to choose their outfits independently.
They believed that this would allow Jk and Tae to spend quality time together, deepening their connection and understanding of one another as they prepared for their marriage.
As the day approached, Jk's anxieties grew, and he expressed his reluctance and frustration.
Watching his friends happily shop for engagement outfits only added to his unease.
In the end, after much sighing and a few playful complaints, he reluctantly accepted that he would have to go shopping for the engagement attire with Tae.
Despite his initial protests, there was a part of him that was eager to embark on this journey with Tae, hoping it would bring them closer together.
