The ceremony had concluded, and the Jeon family stood together at the venue’s entrance, preparing to bid farewell to their youngest and most beloved member.

Jungkook, adorned in his wedding hanbok, clung tightly to his mother’s hand, tears streaming down his flushed cheeks. His sobs were quiet yet heart-wrenching, and the sight made everyone’s heart ache.

Eomma… (Jungkook whimpered, his voice trembling)

Mrs. Jeon’s own eyes glistened with unshed tears, but she maintained her composure. She gently cupped Jungkook’s face, brushing away his tears with her thumbs.

Jungkook turned toward his father, his tears still flowing but now mixed with a hint of a playful pout.

Mr. Jeon laughed heartily, pulling Jungkook into a tight hug.

Jungkook sniffled, burying his face in his father’s chest just like a baby. The rest of the Jeon family joined in the laughter, lightening the heavy atmosphere.

You’ll be fine, Jungkook-ah! (his brother said, ruffling his hair)

The Kims are wonderful people, and Taehyung will take good care of you.

Jungkook nodded hesitantly, his tears subsiding but his heart still heavy. One by one, he hugged his family members, each embrace filled with love and encouragement.

Finally, it was time to leave. Taehyung stepped forward, extending his hand to Jungkook.

Shall we? (he asked gently, his voice soothing)

Jungkook hesitated for a moment before placing his hand in Taehyung’s. The warmth of Taehyung’s palm reassured him, and he managed a small, shy smile.

The Jeon family waved them off, their smiles bittersweet as they watched the car drive away.

The car was quiet at first, save for the soft hum of the engine. Jungkook sat stiffly, his hands resting in his lap, his eyes fixed on the passing scenery. Taehyung stole glances at him, his heart aching at the sight of Jungkook’s red, puffy eyes.

Are you okay? (Taehyung asked softly, breaking the silence)

Jungkook nodded, though his lips quivered slightly.

I’m just… I’ll miss them so much.

Taehyung reached out and gently placed a hand on Jungkook’s knee.

I understand. It’s hard to leave your family, especially when you’re so close.

But, Jungkook-ah, you’re not alone. You have me now.

Jungkook turned to look at him, his eyes filled with emotion.

But what if I’m not a good spouse?

What if I disappoint you or your family?

Taehyung’s expression softened, and he moved closer, taking both of Jungkook’s hands in his own.

And as for my family, they’re going to love you. In fact, they already do.

Jungkook’s cheeks flushed, and he lowered his gaze.

You’re really good at saying things that make me feel better. (he mumbled, a shy smile playing on his lips)

Taehyung chuckled.

That’s my job, isn’t it? To take care of you and make you smile.

Jungkook glanced at him, his heart fluttering at the sincerity in Taehyung’s eyes.

Call me Alpha. (Taehyung teased, a mischievous glint in his eyes)

Jungkook’s face turned crimson, and he looked away, his lips pressed into a pout.

I’m not ready for that yet.

Taehyung laughed, the sound warm and rich.

Take your time, Jungkook-ah. I’ll wait.

The rest of the ride was filled with soft conversation, with Taehyung making an effort to keep Jungkook at ease. By the time they reached the Kim mansion, Jungkook’s nerves had lessened considerably.
