As Tripti waited for Ryan to return, she heard the sound of voices coming from the entrance hall. She couldn't quite make out what they were saying, but it sounded like Ryan was chatting with someone.
Just then, Ryan walked back into the living room, followed by a tall, handsome man with a charming smile.
"Tripti, this is Rohan, an old friend of mine from college," Ryan said, introducing the man.
Tripti's eyes widened as she took in Rohan's good looks. He was definitely a head-turner, and she couldn't help but feel a little intimidated.
"Hi, Tripti," Rohan said, flashing her a charming smile. "It's great to meet you."
Tripti smiled back, feeling a little more at ease. "Hi, Rohan. Nice to meet you too."
As Rohan sat down on the couch, Tripti couldn't help but notice the way he looked at her. It was as if he was really seeing her, really noticing her. And it made her feel a little fluttery inside.
Reyansh, who had been absent from the room until now, suddenly appeared in the doorway, a scowl on his face.
"What's going on here?" he asked, his eyes narrowing as he took in the scene before him.
Ryan smiled innocently. "Just introducing Tripti to Rohan, my old friend from college."
Reyansh's eyes flashed with anger, and he took a step forward. "I wasn't aware that we were having guests," he said, his voice cold.
Tripti felt a surge of anger at Reyansh's behavior. Who was he to dictate who she could and couldn't meet? She stood up, her eyes flashing with defiance.
"I can meet whoever I want, Reyansh," she said, her voice firm. "You don't own me."
Reyansh's face darkened, and he took a step closer to Tripti. "I'm your husband, Tripti," he said, his voice low and menacing. "And I will not have you speaking to me like that."
Tripti stood her ground, her heart pounding in her chest. "I'm your wife, Reyansh," she said, her voice firm. "Not your servant. And I will not be treated like one."
Rohan, who had been watching the exchange with interest, suddenly stood up. "I think I've overstayed my welcome," he said, his voice smooth. "Ryan, thanks for introducing me to your sister-in-law. It was nice meeting you, Tripti."
Tripti smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Rohan. "Nice meeting you too, Rohan," she said.
As Rohan left, Reyansh turned to Tripti, his eyes blazing with anger. "We're not finished, Tripti," he said, his voice low and menacing. "Not by a long shot."
Tripti felt a shiver run down her spine as she looked at Reyansh. She knew that she had pushed him too far, and now she was going to have to face the consequences.
But she was not afraid. She was determined to stand up for herself, to show Reyansh that she would not be intimidated or bullied.
As the two of them stood there, locked in a silent battle of wills, Tripti knew that this was just the beginning. The real fight was only just starting, and she was ready.
