Episode 20

Felix's smile faded as he saw Kai running towards Zayn, his gaze fixed on his son being carried by his ex-wife's new husband. Slowly, Felix straightened his body. He still looked shocked to see his son calling "daddy" to the man in front of him.

"Kai! This is daddy!" Felix shouted, looking at his child with intensity.

Kai merely stared intently at Felix before shifting his gaze to Zayn with a confused expression. "No, no, this is Kai's daddy," he murmured, then glanced back at Felix, whose face had turned pale.

Shea pulled the corner of her mouth into a smirk, clearly enjoying Felix's reaction. "Since when did Kai start calling you daddy?" Felix turned his gaze toward Shea. As if slapped by her words, he fell silent, his mouth tightly closed.

"Since he was born, until now, he hasn’t even known who his biological father is. Because I refused to let Kai become like Azriel! Because of you, Azriel's personality changed entirely! Can you replace my sweet and cheerful Azriel?! Enough about Azriel; I won’t let Kai's joy be snatched away by his own biological father!" Shea snapped, tears brimming in her eyes.

Felix stepped forward, causing Shea to take a step back. Zayn and Kai watched the two with differing expressions. Kai was confused about who Felix was; he had seen him before but didn’t think much of it. In contrast, Zayn felt wary of Felix.

"Shea, I didn’t know Yasmin had done that to our son. I love our son, and if I had known, I wouldn’t have...,"

"Have you forgotten? Your wife was abusive to Azriel, and you begged me not to imprison her when she was heavily pregnant. I had to let her go so that you would agree to relinquish custody of Azriel. Now you say you still love them? Your jokes aren’t funny, Mr. Felix!"

"You don’t have the right to stop me from seeing them, Shea! I have rights to them because I am their biological father!" Felix yelled.

"Rights? Your so-called rights? When Azriel lived with you, did you give him the rights he had as a child?! I thought you could care for him well since he is your biological son. But what happened? You destroyed your own child's mental well-being! Can you still call yourself a father?!" Shea retorted fiercely.

Azriel watched everything from a distance, standing not far from them with tears in his eyes, holding back his sobs. Zayn noticed Azriel first and quickly grabbed Shea's arm, still debating with Felix. "Calm your emotions; Azriel is here," Zayn whispered.

While Kai, the younger child, didn’t quite understand the debate between the two adults, Azriel certainly grasped what was happening. Thus, upon seeing Azriel, Zayn immediately urged his wife to quiet down. Felix’s gaze then moved to his eldest son.

"Azriel, Daddy has come to see you." Felix stepped closer to Azriel. Seeing this, Shea prepared to intervene, but Zayn held her arm and shook his head.

Azriel looked at Felix kneeling before him, his eyes scrutinizing the man who was his biological father. Since returning to his mother’s house, his father had never come to visit him. Today was the first time Felix had come to see him.

"Azriel, Daddy is sorry. Daddy didn’t know that Mama Yasmin had hurt you. I’m sorry for not believing your words," Felix spoke softly, looking intently into his son's eyes.

Tears fell from Azriel's eyes, his chest heaving. "Why does Daddy believe now? He is mean; he wants Azriel to leave there," Azriel whispered, his voice trembling.

"Azriel was locked in his room when his little brother cried... it wasn’t Azriel who made him cry... At Daddy's house, Azriel always went hungry. Daddy never believed that his wife was mean to Azriel..."

Felix grabbed Azriel's hand, but the boy pushed him away. Nonetheless, Felix persistently tried to hold the child's hand. Azriel struggled, but Felix ignored him. Zayn, witnessing this, quickly intervened; he handed Kai over to Shea and approached Azriel.

"Let go! The child doesn’t want you to hold him!" Zayn exclaimed, pulling Azriel’s hand from Felix’s grip.

"You have no right to stop me! He is my son! I am his biological father, and you... are nothing more than his stepfather!" Felix retorted, straightening his body and pointing a sharp gaze at Zayn.

"If he’s your son, can you force him like you did earlier?! He’s scared! Your own child is afraid of you! Don’t further damage his mental state! His parents' separation has already stressed him out! Don’t add to it with your selfishness!" Zayn hissed.

"You have no right to speak to me like that." Felix seethed, his fists clenched tightly at his sides.

Zayn smirked, "I’m married to Shea now, and her children are my responsibility. Still need that clarified?"

THUD!

"ZAYN!" Shea screamed as she saw Felix punch Zayn in the face, knocking him down.

Not stopping there, Zayn retaliated against Felix's blow. The two men engaged in a battle of strength, causing Azriel to flee in fear toward his mom. Shea immediately called for her house staff, handing her two children over so they wouldn’t witness the current conflict.

"STOP! STOP IT!" Shea shouted but was ignored by the two men.

Shea bravely stood between the two as Felix prepared to strike Zayn again. Fortunately, Felix snapped out of it, his hand halting in midair. His eyes locked with the beautiful, tear-filled gaze of his ex-wife, who stared at him, reminiscent of three years ago before they divorced.

"Felix, you have destroyed everything. Our marriage, and all the dreams we built together, you have shattered it all. You have a child with Yasmin, focus on that little family of yours. I will bring happiness to Azriel and Kai. They don’t need a father like you." Shea said softly.

"Shea, they are my children. I have rights over them because I'm their biological father!" Felix snapped with frustration.

"Now you say that? When you were cheating on her, were you considering the rights of our two children? Did you think about the impact of our divorce on them? No! You didn’t think of it. You have no right to come and claim your rights as a father!" Shea pulled Zayn away, leaving Felix frozen in place.

Felix felt weak, watching Shea and Zayn walk further away. For a moment, he composed himself. He came because he missed his two children. But instead, he learned a fact that his ex-wife had remarried. For some reason, a feeling of unwillingness surged in his heart seeing Shea with another man.

Meanwhile, a middle-aged woman got out of her car, stylish sunglasses perched on her nose. "Today’s the day for the social gathering, oh how lovely! Later this afternoon, I’ll invite Shea and Zayn out to eat! Let’s have a feast!"

Daisy had just returned from her social gathering with friends. The cheerful woman entered the house with a joyful heart. However, her expression changed to confusion as she noticed the unusually quiet house. Usually, she would hear Kai playing in the living room.

"Strangely quiet, where... oh?" Daisy halted in her tracks as she crossed paths with Felix, who was about to exit the house.

"Wow... wow... wow! Look who just came? You’ve got the nerve to show your face here, huh?! You've still got guts, don’t you!" Daisy exclaimed with a sharp glare.

Felix ignored Daisy's complaints, simply turning away. He left Daisy staring in disbelief at his departure. "Hmph, such a player! Sneaking around like that! Completely lacking in manners! Thank goodness he's an ex! I can't believe Shea ever wanted to marry someone like him," she muttered, continuing her steps that had momentarily paused, feeling frustrated.
