Episode 15

The Golden House building was located in the city center, a large building with wide windows and projector screens, with coffee shops and restaurants around it.

As he got closer, Mikkel saw Nick standing there waiting for him.

"Hi, I'm glad you decided to come," Nick smiled.

"I'm still not sure," Mikkel said.

This was an unknown world to him; he had only seen models in magazines and on television, something that seemed so distant could now be his line of work.

"You'll be fine, let's go," Nick guided Mikkel inside the building.

Just before entering, the screens projected images of Andrew; Mikkel saw that face he had seen at the party that day on the large screens.

"Let's go in," Nick took Mikkel.

The same thing happened inside the building; Andrew's images began to be projected largely everywhere there was a screen.

Mikkel looked at those images thoughtfully.

"...Wait a minute, does he work here?" he asked, stopping Nick.

"Why would there be pictures of him if that wasn't the case?" he inquired curiously.

"It's okay; anyone is free to work wherever they want," Nick smiled, leading Mikkel to a small office.

If Andrew worked here, it meant that their encounters would be inevitable. Mikkel wanted nothing to do with him.

It would be unpleasant to have to deal with his husband's lover.

Nick opened the office, and they entered together.

Mikkel saw a small woman standing there who came to greet him as soon as she saw him.

"Hello, I'm Nick's manager, you can call me Susan," the woman introduced herself.

She looked pleasant, though she wore a somewhat uncomfortable smile.

"My name is Mikkel," Mikkel introduced himself as well.

The three people took a seat to start the conversation.

"Nick told me you were interested in modeling," Susan said.

"Not really, actually, I just need a temporary job, but I don't think this is right," Mikkel smiled.

"Why? You'll be fine if you try," Nick interrupted.

"My private life is known to several people, as you understand, the person with whom my husband has a relationship works here, doesn't he? It would be uncomfortable for everyone to have to see both of us," Mikkel explained.

"Besides, I don't know anything about modeling," he added with a smile.

"...Well, it's true that Andrew works here, but he doesn't own the place, there's no problem with you working here too," Nick said.

He couldn't wait to see Andrew's expression when he saw Mikkel in this place. He was sure that Mikkel would get good jobs as a photography model; he had good looks and good posture.

Susan couldn't help but feel guilty seeing Mikkel. She knew why Nick wanted Mikkel at this agency, all because of his internal fight with Andrew.

It was true that Andrew monopolized all the important work and contracts of this agency with the help of the alpha, Damen, Mikkel's husband.

But this was not the way to confront Andrew, not through Mikkel, who had nothing to do with this. This matter could bring more problems to Mikkel with his husband, not to mention the stares and mockery that this would bring to the omega.

Nick noticed the hesitation on Susan's face and took Mikkel to take him out of the office.

"There's no better way to know than to try," he smiled, leading Mikkel to the photography studio.

"What are you doing? There's no session scheduled," Susan said, catching up with Nick.

"There's a small session with the new applicants; I already spoke to the photographer, so there's no problem," Nick replied.

Mikkel was dragged to the photography studio, where several young people were waiting.

"But I don't know what to do, I don't think this is a good idea," Mikkel replied.

"I'll guide you, no problem," Nick replied.

Nick went to talk to the photographer, followed by Susan, and they returned after a while.

"The shoot will be outside; we'll go on the agency bus, they'll do your hair and makeup there," Nick mentioned, taking Mikkel back to the bus.

Everything happened so fast that Mikkel didn't have time to think. They arrived at a beautiful rose garden where the photoshoot would take place.

Mikkel's hair and makeup were done, and he was dressed along with the other young people inside a large caravan.

The theme of the shoot was youthful spring joy.

Mikkel was wearing a cute beige tracksuit.

"Why this color?" he snorted in annoyance.

Everyone stood waiting for their turn, and as expected, several of those present recognized Mikkel and began to murmur.

"Everything will be fine; it's a natural theme, so don't complicate yourself too much and act naturally," Nick explained.

"Yes, it won't be too difficult, but it will be better if you take this off," Susan said, removing the ring Mikkel was wearing.

"I'll keep it for you," she smiled.

"It's just an accessory; it doesn't matter if it gets lost," Mikkel smiled, referring to the ring.

Soon it was his turn, and he was placed in front of the camera. Mikkel became nervous at being watched by so many people and didn't know what to do.

"Bring the bicycle," someone from the staff ordered.

A bicycle was given to Mikkel to be photographed with.

"What do I do with this?" he asked worriedly.

Everyone was moving quite fast, which was disturbing.

"You can just hold it or ride it; we'll take pictures of both positions, so start with whatever you feel comfortable with," explained the photographer.

The first photos were a disaster; Mikkel was too tense. Susan and Nick were worried about him.

Nick asked for some time to talk to Mikkel.

"Think of a time when you felt happy, hold on to that thought, and don't worry about the people or the camera, just be yourself," he patiently instructed.

Mikkel nodded, trying to remember a happy time in his life. He thought about the day he learned to ride a bike with the help of his mother. It was a very special and happy moment before she passed away.

With the image of his mother and him in the park, learning to ride the bike, Mikkel confidently got on the bicycle and started riding without another thought.

"I knew you could do it," Nick smiled, looking at the photos on the computer screen.

The magazine with the photos of the new applicants and Mikkel came out a few days later.
