Carter left the hospital with a smile. He wasn't going to charge Emma, but he wasn't going to let her attitude slide either.

"Emma is so sweet and innocent, no wonder you spent a week in here," Rodrigo said, getting into the car.

"Shut up. I don't want to hear you talk that way about Emma or start with your insinuations," Carter replied angrily.

"Okay, okay, you saw her first, but her friend is also quite attractive, and it seems like she likes me too, since she even gave me her number," Rodrigo said, smiling.

"Seriously, you never change," Carter said while driving.

"Look who's talking, the one who has a different woman for every day of the week," Rodrigo said, putting on his sunglasses and grinning.

Carter had left Ramon in case something happened to Emma while she was at the hospital and to make sure they wouldn't leave.

"I have an idea. We'll escape without saying anything and without anyone noticing. Sound good? That way that guy won't be able to charge you anything," Chantal whispered to Emma.

"Do you think it's a good idea?" Emma asked nervously, looking at Ramon who was standing by the door.

"Yes, look, you'll put on my jacket and we'll leave as if nothing happened. I'll go talk to the guy at the door and make him leave for a few minutes while you and I run away from here," Chantal said.

"Okay," Emma said, biting her nails.

Chantal stood up and walked towards Ramon.

"Hey, um, you're one of Carter's men, right?" Chantal said, gesturing to Emma to put on the jacket.

"Yes, that's correct. How can I assist you?" the man with a deep voice replied without looking at Chantal.

"Well, you see, Emma is a woman, and like any woman, she's got her period...," Chantal said.

"Her period?" Ramon said, confused.

"Yes, her period. And the towels they give here irritate her skin a bit. So, if you could be so kind as to go buy some for sensitive skin," Chantal said nervously.

"Any brand?" asked Ramon, Carter's bodyguard.

"Yes, as long as they're for sensitive skin," Chantal said, smiling as she saw Ramon get into the elevator to leave.

"Everything's ready. I need you to walk as fast as you can, I know you can't, but do your best," Chantal said to Emma.

"This is crazy, Chantal," Emma said, leaving the room with Chantal.

"You need a little adrenaline in your life, my friend," Chantal said, taking Emma's hand.

The two of them hurried down the stairs, waited for Ramon to leave the hospital, and then they left. Although everyone looked at them, no one stopped them.
