Meanwhile, back in Duku Village...

Nadine was paralyzed with fear, as she found herself encircled by five lecherous men.

Presently, she was accompanied by a mysterious man who had not uttered a single word all this time. It appeared as if he was indifferent to the predicament she was in. When Anton commanded him to leave, Marvin even let go of Nadine's hand.

But Nadine clung onto Marvin's arm, desperately pleading with him not to desert her. "Please, I'm begging you. Help me. Please don't leave me."

Marvin, ready to depart, paused in his tracks and glared at Nadine, who was still gripping his arm. She looked terrified, sweating profusely on her forehead.

Dicky took delight in watching Nadine's fear and sneered, "Hey city girl, why the tears? We're just about to teach you a very pleasant lesson."

Anton threatened Marvin once more. "Hey buddy, if you don't want to get hurt, beat it. Or do you want me to make you wet your pants, hahaha..."

Anton's four friends joined in the laughter, but it only served to ignite a fire in Marvin, as memories flooded back of how these five men had bullied him 18 years ago.

Marvin released Nadine's hand and rapidly approached Anton.

Thud...

Anton's laughter was abruptly cut off as Marvin's fist landed squarely on his mouth.

"Arrrggghhh... Arrrggghhh...!" Anton howled in pain, Marvin's punch was so forceful that some of his teeth were knocked out.

Staring at his four teeth in his hand, Anton whimpered, "Ohh... My teeth." His mouth was bleeding.

"That's a lesson for your vile mouth, as filthy as garbage," Marvin sneered with satisfaction. Consider it Marvin's payback for Anton's past insults toward his mother.

Nadine gaped, utterly astonished at Marvin's boldness in striking Anton.

"Bastard!" Anton glared at Marvin full of rage.

"Get him now!" Anton ordered his companions.

Dicky, Tedi, Ari, and Ramzi lunged at Marvin. Anton, not one to be outdone, joined the attack.

Marvin dealt with them with ease. One mobster against five local thugs was a simple match for him.

Nadine worried for Marvin, fearing for his safety as he came to her aid. Noticing a wooden beam nearby in the forest, she limped towards it, her knees injured, and bent down to pick it up, intending to help Marvin.

Her attention had only momentarily shifted towards the wooden beam when she looked back at Marvin, who was fighting the local thugs. She was shocked to see all five of the thugs lying defeated on the overgrown grass of the forested area.

"Arrrggghhh!" All five groaned in pain, bested by Marvin's beating.

"Spare me, don't hit me again," Anton begged Marvin, though he lacked the strength to stand.

"My God, who is this man? Is he even human?" For Nadine, it defied logic how Marvin could incapacitate them so swiftly, unarmed, fighting with his bare hands. Chills ran up her spine.

Discarding the beam, Nadine grew more frightened when Marvin fixed her with a piercing stare, advancing towards her. She retreated, but her back soon hit a large tree, trapping her. Marvin pinned her with his arms.

"Who are you? Let go of me!" Nadine demanded.

Nadine showed him a ring adorning her ring finger. "Don't you dare, I'm engaged."

Marvin smirked better and moved closer to Nadine, looking into her eyes. "My name is Adam Alvarez. You owe me one, Nadine Leonardo."

It was hardly surprising to Nadine that he knew who she was; who didn't recognize the daughter of the nation's largest company's owner. Swallowing hard, she stared at Marvin, their faces mere inches apart.

Nadine admitted to herself that the man before her was very handsome but potentially very dangerous, given his ability to dispatch adversaries so quickly. Having escaped from the clutches of the wolves, she had inadvertently walked into a lion's den.

"What do you want from me?" Nadine asked the man who introduced himself as Adam Alvarez.
