Episode 7

That night, Markus returned to Mrs. Rena's house, his appearance a study in bewilderment because without Marvin's corpse, convincing his boss that he had ended Marvin's life was a tall order.

His mind flooded with the memory of the three child cadavers in his car, soon to be interred—the result of his shadowy dealings with The Bloods gang, notorious for human trafficking and the kidnap and organ harvest of minors. And who was the leader of this nefarious gang if not Erza?

Opening the car's trunk, Markus surveyed the lifeless forms, void of organs. He selected the body of a boy, similar in stature to Marvin, to cement the illusion of Marvin's demise.

With the young boy's corpse, he set it down beside the equally lifeless Mrs. Rena. Then, wielding a gasoline-filled jerry can, he doused both bodies.

He proceeded to dispense the remaining fuel throughout the dilapidated dwelling—a place saturated with memories of Marvin and his mother during their three-month sojourn.

"May you find peace in hell, your son was such a bother!" Markus declared coldly, gazing at Mrs. Rena's body, utterly unrepentant of his actions.

Igniting a lighter, he flung its flame onto the gasoline-soaked forms before hastily exiting prior to the burgeoning inferno.

From outside, Markus watched as the flames voraciously consumed its surroundings, reducing the house to fire's dominion, ensuring Mrs. Rena and the nameless child were reduced to ashes.

The following day...

News of the blaze reached Mr. Rama, who could only exhale in sorrow at the fate of his ex-wife and son, knowing he would not be afforded a final glimpse—their remains reduced to char and bone.

"Poor souls, they met such a horrific end," Sonya feigned despondency before her husband.

Mr. Rama remained silent, the father in him undeniably shattered by the tragic news of his family.

In her heart, Sonya reveled in satisfaction, for with Mrs. Rena and Marvin gone, nothing could challenge Leon Group's future reign under her grip.

Mr. Rama's gaze fell upon Nadine, cheerfully cycling in the yard. A smile graced his face as he admired his obedient daughter, a balm to the guilt he bore towards his lost spouse and child.

Nadine's compliance had endeared her greatly to her father, unlike Marvin, who had always sided with his mother, causing Rama to feel unappreciated—even though it was his own wrongdoing that justified the child's stance.

Meanwhile, Markus's unease persisted for not having located Marvin's body. When an opportune calm descended, he scoured the riverbanks, speculating on whether the current might have carried the boy or if predators had claimed him.

"Where could that child have gone?" Markus grumbled in irritation.

He considered, "Perhaps taken by a crocodile or some wild beast?" The notion seemed plausible given the river's untamed nature, reputedly home to crocodiles.

Dusk was approaching, forcing Markus to abandon his search, convinced of Marvin's unlikely survival in the deep, treacherous river.

Back in the capital, Markus rendezvoused with Sonya and Erza at The Bloods' headquarters.

Sonya handed Markus a bonus of 100 million, rewarding a job well done for eradicating Mrs. Rena and Marvin, totaling a payment to Markus of 300 million.

"Excellent work, Markus. You never disappoint," Sonya praised.

Erza remained affectionate with Sonya, lavishing her with kisses, a continuation of their intimate liaison prior to Markus's arrival.

Markus smirked, clutching the bag of money, "Of course, I'm always at your beck and call. But what about the child?" he spontaneously inquired about Nadine.

Sonya was indifferent to Markus's curiosity about Nadine. "She does irritate me, but patience must prevail until I can fully command Leon Group. I'll need you to eliminate two more threats in the future, but not yet," she asserted.

"I'm always ready, I'd never defy an order from boss Erza," Markus affirmed his loyalty, enriching himself with each undertaking.

Leon Group stood as the nation's leading enterprise, encompassing a network of hospitals, luxury hotels, and restaurants.

Erza chuckled, reaching for a bottle of vodka and pouring it into a snifter, inviting Markus and Sonya to toast, "Let's celebrate our victory, ushering mother and child to their hellish end. Hahaha..."

Sonya laughed at her lover's jest, their lips meeting unashamedly before Markus.

Glasses clinked.

They then sipped the sharp bite of vodka together.
