Chapter 26 - Birthday Bash

I felt guilty to Ross. Haven’t talk to him since that morning. I thought I know Ross best but I was wrong. How can I be so not understanding to him.

I knock his bedroom, “Ross?” but no answer.

I knock again, “I and Kendrick will leave, tell us when you are on your way okay?”

I know he is listening, he is just not in the mood to talk.

I take a glimpse of him at the huge villa party. Everyone is dancing, drinking and talking so loud. We hit an eye contact but then Ross threw his face away. Seriously, he made me feel more and more guilty. I became not in the mood of doing anything right now.

“HEY!!!” a hard slap on my bare shoulders startled me. When I looked back, Freya is standing, smiling widely at me. She is in babydoll dress, pink the color of the barbie which suits her best. Her make up is soft and her hair is short curled up a bit at the end.

Somehow my eyes still looking at Ross, Kendrick is talking to him but Ross doesn’t respond much. His mood is probably ruined, I can feel he’s trying to avoid me.

Freya stood beside me, following my gaze.

“What are you looking at ?”

“Ummm.. I” my eyes are still on Ross.

Freya pats my back slowly, but doesn’t say a word. At the same time, Kendrick waved at me, giving the widest smile he has. Like most hot guys, he has that crooked, handsome smile, sweet dimples on both of his cheeks. He is a perfect and I have memorized him inside my heart. Kendrick walks towards me slowly. He held my hand, whispering to my ear, “Let’s go somewhere else just for both of us!”

At first I don’t want to leave Freya alone in the crowds but she swings her hand asking me to go with Kendrick instead.

Jimmy has the best villa spot so everyone from here could watch the beautiful city view. They look like stars, and a little light leaks scattering on the ground gracefully.
